We have lived in the same house for approx. 3 1/2 years and the neighbors are the same. About two weeks ago I was in the RV getting it ready to go out for the weekend and the neighbor from across the street came over because he heard someone wrestling around the RV, he scared the heck out of me and told me that "it is only the neighbor from across the street, just checking and making sure everything is alright." I thought that his comment, "the neighbor across the street" was odd since we knew him but I just brushed it off. Then the other day, my husband and I got home and started talking to him, then I went into the house. My husband later came in and told me that John (neighbor) just said the strangest thing, I asked him what and he told me that John asked my husband if he got rid of his wife, because he has been seeing another woman over there and even saw her in the RV. My husband was a little confused not putting 2 and 2 together, then it dawned on him that John truly did not recognize me anymore. Then he told him what I did (surgery). That was probably the best WOW I have gotten thus far. I wanted to cry.

That is so cool, good for you! I've had many situations where people didn't recognize me at first, but then eventually realized who I was, but never to the extent in what happened with you. Must feel so great, congrats

Ha, ha, ha! That is AWESOME! I bet you were just tickled, huh? I know my husband told me he almost passed by me in the grocery store one day because at first glance he didn't recognize me. He said he hoped he didn't hurt my feelings. I said "Heck no! That is a huge compliment!!!" It feels great! Deanna

That is so that your neighbor didn't recognize you!!!I know exactly how it feels, I had an incident where my baby sister thought my hubby was with another woman, she seen him getting out of our car with this strange woman & she come out of her car ready to kick some...You know... You should have seen her face when she did recognize me... It was priceless...It was sooo cool to know she had my back though!!! I couldn't quit smiling all day!!! The feelings we go through with wls are just amazing...Go ahead & cry, laugh, & enjoy it!!! WE deserve it!!!((((HUGS))))~Missy~
