Have you taken your vitamins today????What do you take???How do you take it??? I take my thyroid med at 6:00 am Then when I get to work (8:00)I take a multivitamin(centrum silver chewable) Then at lunch I take a bariatric advantage cinnamon calcium(its chewable) Then at my 3:00 break I take another multivit. then on the way home at 5:00 I take my other calcium I take 2 B12 shots a month as I was vitamin B12 deficient before surgery(about 10yrs now)Hubby gave me my shot last night so hopefully my levels will be good when I have my blood work. I was told to take iron...but have always had problems with constipation so I have been very bad & have not taken this...I will be having blood work this week (Thursday) as I go for my 6 month check up on Nov. 9th...If its good I am not gonna worry about it, if its low I guess I will be in search of a good iron supp. So tell me How are you doing??? ~Missy~

I have taken my multi's today but not calcium. I am trying every kind of calcium they make. I tried the petite citracals and they made me constipated....I don't think they dissolved at all. I have two unused containers of the bariatric advantage cinnamin calcium losenges you mention but I don't like them. I bought a calcium citrate powder...a long time postop mentioned it on the grad board. You mix it with oj and it's the best so far. But I am not faithful with the calcium. Rachael

I usually am good on my vitamins like 75% of the time. SOmetimes I'll go weeks without missing one and then go days and not take one. I have been bad for a few days now but so far today I am getting them done! I take a B-12 sublingual every morning. Afternoon is a multi-vit (Centrum) and a calcium chewable. Evening I take 2 fiber tablets Bedtime is another calcium chewable Somewhere in the day I take a biotin. It's a capsule so I break it open and usually blend it into my protein drink (it's a powder).

I take my vitamins every day. in the AM its two flintstone completes along with my other meds and my biotin. in the Evening I take my calcium. According to my nut you should not take your calcium and vitamins at the same time. Something about the absorption.

Since I've ran out of my multivitamin.... I'm taking 2 Flinstones and 3 Calcium in the a.m. and 2 flintstones and an iron in the pm. My doctor's plan calls for the 3 calcium 2 times a day. But I just don't get it in. Plus I drink 8oz of milk EVERYDAY and sometimes more. All of labs have come back normal so far. I go back for my 6 month 11/30/06 so we'll see how I'm doing then. Oh yeah I got my first B12 shot on the 18th. Not sure i can tell a difference though. Mandy

I was only told to take 1 multi vitamin most days - not to worry if I missed days here and there. So I take a chewable one. Having read how much you all have been told to take, I think I'm gonna ask my family doctor if he will do a blood test to check my nutrients. It isn't a standard test done over here. Does anyone know what test name to ask for?
