Hey Mayers, I have kind of an odd question. Are any of you really emotional now? I was wondering if it could be surgery related. Lately I have just been crying or on the verge of tears for no reason. I took Alexzander (my son) to school the other day, and when I was driving home I just busted out crying. I am not upset about anything, depressed, or stressed. So I have no clue what is going on, I thought it could be that since the rapid weight loss my hormones could be out of wack. But since we all seem to have mostly the same issues (with our weight loss), I thought I would get your opinions. Danice

I've been really b*tchy lately and very moody. I toss it up to me trying to deal with the fact that I can no longer turn to food any time something goes wrong in my life. That comfort I've always had is GONE. The emotional side to this surgery can really take a toll.

I read on another thread (can't remember which one) that our fat cells hold our hormones and as we lose weight the "extra" hormones stored in our fat is released in our systems and it is very common for people who have had wls to have increased mood swings and be very emotional. this might be a good topic to post on main board. it's interesting, that's for sure. I know i have had crazy mood swings, but i just recently lost a baby that was 15 weeks and didn't realize i was pregnant until a few days before i lost him. I have no idea with everything that has been going on with my body (nausea, throwing up, mood swings, being tired...) i have no idea what was the surgery and what was the baby that i lost. i'm still very emotional. also, my surgeon told us at the wls seminar that i attended that there is a rise in suicide in long term wls patients. talk to your doc about it. deb 229/165/135/129 surgery day/today/drs goal/my goal

Add me to the B##ch list. My poor hubby. The doctor said the ruptured cyst would make things worse, he was right. Darlene
