Still not up to snuff
I had a great time last night at our homecoming but I was HIGHLY medicated. I didn't need any alcohol that's for sure! But, I am still dealing with belly button pain. The incision hasn't healed and it is seeping all the time. I have to change a dressing every few hours and take antibiotics. That's the best they could do for me until I get to see the surgeon again on Friday.
I am venting again about how tiresome this is. It wasn't even this bad for gastric bypass. I guess I am just not healing as well given that I am only five months out and I don't eat as much. I am just so exhausted all the time. I slept an extra three hours in the afternoon today! Too sad.
I know that I've got to let this go its course, but it's taking too long!!! I am almost out of Lortab as well. That's not good. I can't believe I have been high on hydrocodone for over a week!
Sigh

Rachael, I am so sorry you are having such a hard time recovering from the GallBladder surgery!!! 2 surgeries in that short of span of time is going to take its toll on anyone!!!I think if your body is demanding rest then that is what you should do!!!I know you probably already know this but be careful with those Lortabs they can be so addictive before you even know it!! Friday will be here soon and you can take it all out on your Dr!Hoping you feel better soon! ~Missy~
I hate having to take the lortab. After gastric bypass I had trouble sleeping and kept taking it. When I ran out I had the creepy crawlies and my skin itched, I couldn't sleep...it was AWFUL. I didn't want it this time, but they assured me it was best for the pain. I want off of it as soon as possible. First, I have to get through classes tomorrow and Friday morning.

It's like everytime we go to class, someone asks how I am feeling. .....uh not feeling much. I was taking notes on Monday and noticed that the end of most sentences didn't even contain words. I hope someone else was paying attention as that was the day we learned about hearing confessions!!!! hehe
Rachael
Poor thing. I know how you are feeling. I hurt my back at the County Fair here in September, so I have been on Loratabs and Soma since then. I find that when I am taking notes, I leave out words or letters from words, and then when I look at the notes later I have no bloody clue what I was trying to say. Atleast I am wriitng down page numbers!!!
