Anniversary Dinner

Hey ya'll - need some advice for dinner tonight. Is it hubby and my anniversary. He has a job interview and won't be home until LAAATE so I don't think we will go out for dinner. My daughter is at MILs for the night so I thought I would go home and pick up the house and make a real nice dinner and have candles lit...etc etc. I'm racking my brains (and scaveging allrecipes.com) for a dinner that seems more "special" then what I usually prepare but is still low cal - high protein. I would like to make lobster - but that's just no good without a big vat of butter to dip it in. So I think fish/seafood is what I want to make.....here's a few recipes I found...tell me which one you think looks tastier! Or better yet - suggest something else!!!!!! http://allrecipes.com/recipe/baked-salmon-fillets-dijon/detail.aspx http://allrecipes.com/recipe/baked-orange-roughy-italian-style/detail.aspx Any thoughts on side dishes....or any other way to make the evening special.....

i think the salmon sounds great! one of my fav side dish recipes is green bean bundles. i take about ten whole green beans, tie them with a piece of turkey bacon (you can use regular if you want), drizzle them with a little evoo (pudge porn!!) and sprinkle them with sea or kosher salt. Bake at about 400 degrees till the bacon starts to crisp and gets golden brown, but the green beans are still crispy. They are great! Have a great evening and wear something sexy! deb

Oooooh, yum! Both of them sound good! I think I would opt for the salmon though. And you should try those green beans that Deborah mentioned! Yum! Don't you just love allrecipes.com? I love that website! Have FUN tonight!!! Deanna

Ok So I've been feeling really good here lately!!& My hubby is loving it!!!I say since he is getting home so late & you have a sitter, don't do the big dinner....Go to wal-mart in the craft section where the wedding stuff is they have boxes of rose petals...light candles all over the house & start at the front door with the rose petals & leave a trail to you... That's my suggestion for what its worth!!! ~Missy~ Happy Anniversary!!!

Hmmm...VERY good idea!! Plus it saves the work of cooking.....of course I'm sure I'll be "busy" anyway. *snicker* I'm sure hubby would appreciate a trail to a naked wife much more then a nice dinner anyway. I could be waiting in bed with a pizza and some beer and he would die right there and go to heaven. LOL!!!! I do have a little something special I bought on clearance awhile ago (off the lingerie rack....) that I plan to wear later on that night. Hopefully it fits...it's an 18/20 and I bought it when I was like a size 24 hoping it would fit for our anniversary. *crosses fingers* Thanks for the thoughts Missy...I'm sure hubby would appreciate your support of our "alone time" If I update later on how the dinner went I'll leave out the details of what happens later in the evening.....
