I used to be able to sit on my butt for hours. But now I've lost some cusioning, I get a sore butt after sitting for awhile? Anyone else have this problem? Any other funny/bad side effects you are getting from WLS that you didn't envisage?

I have this problem as well. I found on another board the problem was called ****yx pain. Pain of the tailbone which seems to common in wls patients. I haven't found a solution to it yet. But I did search on the internet and found that it could be treated with steriod shots, certain massage techniques or surgery.

I was just saying the other day that I needed some chair pads for my dining room chairs. I never noticed how unbelievable uncomfortable there were until I lost my own "built-in" cusioning!

I ordered my car in 2002 from the factory, my butt has been the only butt in the seat for 92K miles. so it was perfectly formed to my PREOP butt. today it is EXTREMELY uncomfortable. I HAVE to order a new car!

Ha, ha! I just had to laugh when I read this because I had a "no butt" situation last night. I decided to take a HOT bubble bath to try and warm me up but as I sat in the tub, I noticed that my butt bones were hurting and it didn't feel comfortable to sit there. It's like I lost all that cushioning off my butt cheeks and now it hurts to sit on something hard! When we were at the gym the other night, my husband decided to tell me that I lost all my "junk in the trunk." Oh joy, now I have a flat butt? I had no clue! Guess I never really looked at it in the mirror though! Hee, hee! Deanna

How funny, me too! So we are all freezing and our butt's hurt! LOL Just a few days ago, I plopped down on the floor next to my daughter and I yelped out in pain and she was like what happened? I told her it just hurt when I sat down and she laughed so hard... She was like I feel that all the time! That's normal. I guess at least she got a good laugh, lol. It's going to be interesting to learn that I just can't plop down any old way anymore... Bobbie
