Thank you for the suggestions. I bought some of the chicken salad mix and I am going to try it this week to see if I like it. My Doctor has so many restrictions on my diet right now (no red meat, pork, beans, only 15 carbs per day, no bread or pasta, nuts), so that is the tricky part. I may have to go off his plan for the weekend and keep things in reason. I frankly do not think a tablespoon of peanut butter is going to kill me.

Wow, I didn't realize that Centennial had such diet restricitions. Or is it just your specific case. I don't know what i would do without steak. I LOVE me some beef. I was going to suggest putting potatoes in those pockets and then using light cheeze whiz, but not so much for only 15 carbs a day. I say....get out your protein bars. I love the Pure Protein brand. They sell them at most walmarts. I get them at the walmart in Murfreesboro. Peanut Butter crunch is the best. They aren't big and have 20 g. of protein. Have you thought about calling your doctor and asking for HIS suggestions given his restrictions and the adventure that is your life? He should be able to help. Rachael

I LOVE meat too!!! It is Centennial's plan. It says I cannot have red meat, pork, or raw vegetables or fruits until atleast 6 months out. I have told everyone here that instead of Turkey of Thanksgiving, we are having a nice cut of steak and salad (plus we eat turkey- in some form- atleast once a week). I am going to call my Nut this week, but I really find her advice is not that helpful. She is not for protein bars, yet I still eat them from time to time. She also says that I sould not be drinking any protein, but I do not eat breakfast (I can only eat eggs occasionally- they make me sick) so I usually add a scoop of unflavored Unjury to my coffee in the morning. That gives me 16 ounces of liquid and 20 grams of protein to start the day!! I do fudge on the Centennial diet sometimes. Today I am making some beer cheese soup (25 grams protein per cup), the catch is they say no soup. My theory is that I do not fudge that much and I have a six year old to feed. Thank you so much for your advice. It is such a new time in all our our lives, it really helps to know that we have such a wonderful online support group. Danice

Wow Danice - those are some SERIOUS rules!! If you haven't broken them yet you deserve a medal!!!!! That is the strictest program I have EVER read!!! You are doing so awesome!!! Kudos to you girlfriend. Enjoy your cookout!!!! You can stick anything in those foil packs. Turkey hotdogs?????? You are right about the chicken though - not something you want to deal with without the fridge!!!!
