It's Friday...and I'm bored at work (as usual) Just thinking about food porn and lusting over carbs...so I thought I would start a fun thread of post-WLS snacks!!! I have come up with lots of protein snacks I like to pack everyday and I wanted to see what everyone else has come up with....... 1 - I like to microwave 8 slices of turkey pepperoni and then cut up a cheese stick into 8 peices and eat a little with each peice of pepperoni....yummm (16 grams) 2 - The old lunch meat & creams cheese roll ups. I use 2 or 3 slices of turkey and spread 1 T of light cream cheese between them and roll em up. (about 12 grams) 3 - I like the new Crave Control yogurt. And it has fiber and protein. (7 grams) 4 - SHRIMP ****TAIL - yummo. I usually have about 8 or 9 medium shrimp with 1 T ****tail sauce (10 grams) 5 - Thomas Light english muffin (half) toasted with 1/2T of SF preserves (wal-mart has a brand made with splenda that is divine) and 1 T SF cool whip. (7 grams) 6 - Lite & Fit Carb & Sugar control smoothies - great for on the go snack (6 grams) 7 - I AM ADDICTED to Kozy Shack no sugar added Rice Pudding - shake some cinnamon in there and I am in heaven (4 grams) 8 - Quaker white cheddar soy crisps - they are delish and have soy protein - I usually pack myself about 7 or 8 in a baggie (3 grams) 9 - Laughing Cow Lite Cheese wedge (the garlic and herb are YUMMMMY) spread on one sesame Ry cracker (you can use more crackers but I like my cheese layer nice & thick) (3 grams) That's all I can rack my brain for right now......I can't wait to read what everyone else is snacking on!!!

My nutritionist is a 3 meal a day no snack person. So, I dont do snacks unless I am feeling really light headed or ravenously hungry, and then usually a cheese stick

Oh these don't tempt me. They arent "real snacks" hehe Now if you said Butter Lovers microwave popcorn or chili cheese fritos we'd have a problem. Even our snacks are so much better than before!!!! yeah us

If you are missing the crunch of potato chips and stuff....try some bbq pork rinds. That is my snack of choice.......they are full of protein and no carbs. But, I still love my fruit more....I love to take some chunk pineapple and get it nice and cold or some watermelon. Those are my favorites. And the best one is lifesaver sf popsicles....they are the ultimate. Kel

WOW! You sure gave me alot of ideas. What is Kozy Shack Pudding and where do I get it? Turkey pepperoni and cheese sounds scrumpcious! I do the deli meat around a cheese stick. Yougurt is also a good one for me. SHRIMP ****TAIL - I bought a bag of shrimp and have not had even one yet! I love them but have not had them in years - guess I better try some. Good protein!! Cheese - Any type is one of my all time favorites! But i think I could eat too much - I love cheese sticks! I LOVE Nature Select's BBQ Soy Crisps - 7 gr Taco Bell Pinto Beans are also a favorite My Nut is also a 3 meal a day person and 1 snack. BUT I have trouble with this as I am a grazer so I would rather have 6 small meals. And WATER- WATER- WATER!! We can't forget our water! Darlene

Kozy Shack is a brand of pudding. They make mostly regular stuff but do have a few varities of no sugar added - rice, tapioca and butterscotch..maybe chocolate. I can't remember. But I reallllly love the rice pudding. I add cinnamon to mind and hubby likes to add some raisins to his. It is 90 cals for a cup!! Check it out - it's in the refrigerator section by the other puddings. They have it at every store around here......

I'm a food ***** addict too - I watch all the tv shows and LOVE reading recipes books. Hee hee. I used to snack, but then read Racheals post a couple of weeks ago about not snacking and thought I'd try it as I was going way over on the snacks. I've found it much easier to control what I am eating by not snacking. Mindyou, thanks for the great ideas - I've been getting bored with light lunch ideas and I'm going to use some of your suggestions. Great
