What do you take? My surgeon's office recommends Tylenol products. I bought the gel caps but haven't taken them. Do I remember something about us not being able to take those??? I can barely breath, my nose is stopped up, and I'm sneezing YUCK! This southeast GA weather needs to make up its mind: HOT, WARM, or COLD but not all of the above. Mandy

Mandy, You might want to check with your surgeon! Mine said tylenol, but he also said no time release or gelcaps. Something about not having gastric juices to break it down I think. Don't take my word for it. Call your Dr.Hope you are feeling better soon!~Missy~

My doc says tylenol products or sudafed is fine. As long as they are not in capsule form. I have to take a potassium supplement because I still use a diuretic and I used to take the potassium capsules. Now I have to take those huge horse pills of potassium I have to break them in 1/2 to take them and still choke them down. YUCK! The sudafed works great for my environmental allergies I have from my cpap machine. Hope you feel better soon. Kel

alkaseltzer plus cold and alka seltzer plus flu work exceptionally well for me, and they do not contain ibuprofen that causes ulcers.

Thanks for the help. I have a support group meeting sponsored by my surgeon's program tonight. I'll ask to make sure about the gel caps. Have a blessed day. Mandy 332/246/155

I got a cold right at the end of summer and since my blood pressure was no longer an issue (YEAH gastric bypass!) I could take sudafed. They are tiny little guys. I forgot how well they worked. I also took regular strength tylenol for achy feelings. Hope you are feeling better soon. Rachael

The support group meeting was soooo awesome last night I totally forgot to ask about the gel caps. My first b12 injection went fine and when I weighed in I was down 14 pounds for the month.
