Ok ladies ( and gentlemen) I know most of us have some, except for maybe a few of the lightweights may not have to deal with it. No really thank God if you dont have it. For those of us that do, how are you handling it??? Is it uncomfortable during moments of intimacy??? Are you making your spouse turn ont the lights and blow out the candles The more I lose its starting to become more pronounced(I'm not complaining, cause I"m gonna get it fixed!!!) but right now as I deal with it........................I see it more and more. This is the weekend we're going to the cabin and I wanna get new lingerie, but whats the purpose?? I may or may not let him see me in it. Dont get me wrong I knew this would be part of the weight loss process, like many other issues as post op we must contend with but it bothers me every now and again.......................especially when I think of "THE GIRLS" going south I had work on them in 04 Ok enough of my rant............what do you guys think????????????

I have the WORST loose skin ever!!!! It's everywhere and I mean everywhere! When I wear clothes, you can't tell all that much. But with nothing on, WOW! It all hangs loose! I don't really care if my husband sees it. It doesn't bother him at all, thank goodness! And luckily I'm really comfortable around him so it doesn't bother me to let him see me. I'd eventually like to have it taken care of because it makes it VERY difficult to find bras and underwear to fit. In fact, my "girls" are hanging sooooo far south that they slapped together when I was taking that Spin class. Talk about embarrassing! My stomach also hangs and flabs really, really bad. It just really is a bad situation in my case! My thighs are unsightly too. When I put my bathing suit on, I make a mad dash for the pool because the skin on my thighs wobble and jiggle every which way and that mortifies me! I know I'm still early on in the process and hopefully things will shrink up some more. I just had no idea that it would be so difficult for me emotionally to see all this loose skin! I know it's worth it ... I never ever want to regain the weight just to fill in the skin. And I would do the surgery over again in a heartbeat! But this loose skin is very disturbing to me for some reason! I knew I would have it but it's much more disturbing to me than I thought it would be! Mostly because I would be able to fit into clothing better if I didn't have the skin in the way! Maybe I should start playing the lottery! I'm gonna need the money for plastics!!! Deanna

I feel your pain!!! I ONLY wear panty girdles now, I dont wear my regular underwear anymore. They really help a lot.

I'm sure you look much better in lingerie now than preop, right??? That being said...about a month and a half ago my skin was twice as bad as it is now. Don't get me wrong I still have lots of (thighs, belly, upper arms) but its getting better. I have invested in a "higher power panty" by spanx (I love it). Today I bought some Firming cream by Palmers (coco butter with shea butter, colagen, etc). It says for "After Pregnancy and Weightloss". It was less than $5. So, I'll start that tonight after my shower (It ways to apply 2 times daily). Anyone else tried this stuff? Mandy

I was using the firming cream by Avon, maybe I'll start using it again!! The crap we as women go through.

I hate the loose skin and most days I don't think it looks better NOW than before. I have the weirdest shape and don't even talk about bra shopping. The loose skin on my breasts is starting to itch like crazy. I have to put special lotion on it already. The batwings are pronounced already as well. I have to "pull" the bottom of my arms through arm wholes cuz the skin won't go through. It's all embarassing. sigh.... I am just hoping it will get better. Rachael

Rachel Make sure you're having all that documented, take pics, you will need it later for approval for plastics. It will get better but for now we can all come here and . Good night guys!!

Hey Lady, Even though I am a lightweight(back atcha) I still have skin issues my belly is hanging low & so are the girls & the inside of my thighs well we just won't discuss it. Speaking of the girls They have all but disappeared!!LOL At least you are gonna get yours fixed!!I told my hubby I didn't want anymore surgery-I had lap ryn 5-3-06 then had open small bowel obstruction repair on 5-15-06 I was completely malnurished &dehydrated & had to be on tpn for 13 days had to come home on homehealth & will be happy if I never see the inside of a hospital room again(which will be hard cause I work there Hehe.)But yes the intimacy thing is a problem for me just not comfortable with the candles lit yet,but I know it is all in my head cause hubby is driving me crazy!!LOL It's like it was when we were first married except no candles!! You are definetly right about all the issues we have to deal with post-op most days I am ok but other days it really hits me that even though I am losing weight I will never be what I was at 20yrs old, but at least I will be healthy & can enjoy the next 20 or 30 or 40 yrs with my hubby & son. ~Missy~
