Hi Heather
I know it's easier said than done but THROW THOSE SCALES OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I too am not loosing and at most loose 1-2 lbs a week, but most of the time lately I loose nothing. The more we focus on it the more frustrating it becomes.
You have done fantastically - about 70lbs isn't it. Give your body time to catch up. It's been through an incredible journey and mayjust need a break. I don't think I'm even loosing inches at the moment, but what we have to remember is that we will get there. This is a journey, and much as we are afraid of failing again (well I am anyway), as long as we know we are not doing anything to sabotage our weight loss, it will eventually start moving again.
I considered going back to shakes only or the plateu diet, but didn't as I realised it would mess with my head too much. I've come this far, to get free of the control food had over me, and I know if I go down that route, I will get back into obsessing over food again. My emotions are not worth that. I would rather loose slowly and have a healthy head than loose fast.
We really do need to stop worrying abotu the loss, it will come off when it's good and ready. Keep eating smart, keep exercising and keep drinking - you'll get there in the end.
Ruth
PS have a look at a post by missy - it is a doctors notes on pouch rules - very interesting and I found helpful
Heather - you are doing AWESOME!! Quite knocking yourself down! I started at 262 and am stuck at 188 so we are stuck at about the same BUT the scales will start moving gain! Do not worry about it. I like Ruth's advice - throw the scales out or put them away for a week, just follow the program and weigh again next week and the scales will be your friend again!!
