Scared Losing Won't Stop?
I know this probably sounds like a really stupid topic - but I have to ask. I got on the scale Friday and weighed 189. I got on the scale this morning and weighed 182. That's a 7lbs drop in 2 days. I'd honestly only like to lose another 30 (this is 10lbs below my surgeons goal). How does our body know when to STOP losing?
HOW are you doing it? 7lbs in 2 days! i've found I can only eat around 500 cals a day to loose 2-3lbs on 7 days. This weekend I ate around 800-1000 cals a day and gained 2 lbs. And that's with exercising too.
Anyway, in answer to your post, I think the body gets to an equilibrium of cals in and cals out. I've read that some nuts say to slightly increase your food intake, and others that say it just evens out itself.
So I guess I'm not really answering your question, just adding to it, and think that as we are all different we will have to 'wait and see' what our own body does.

no freaking kidding. it is on my mind lately, I have been sabotaging myself because I am starting to freak out. I went from a standard issue stall, at a weight that I was okay with to holy crap drop in days.
from 185 to 177 in days, and my clothes are getting baggy again. I swear, what if's are running through my head.
my surgeon told me a month ago it would slow down. it has not, my average is still 3.6 lbs a week.
I stopped exersizing a couple of weeks ago, and nothing has changed. I started eating carbs and nothing has changed.

Someday yes & somedays no. I am wearing 6's now, doc's goal is only 3 pounds away, but I definitely want to lose 23 more pounds. Weight loss has really slowed down the closer I get to goal though. I've not lost a pound in 2 weeks, but I am losing inches because my clothes are getting loser again.
Somedays I wonder if I'll ever really get "there." My mind keeps telling me that this is about the time that I will just start gaining it all back...just like every other time.
However, hubby is starting to tell me not to lose very much more. He thinks I shoud be done. No way, I secretly want to get down to 115, but don't tell hubby.

Megan,
You will hit a point where you stop losing......provided you are doing all the things we should be doing(3 meals daily, water, vits, exercise). I am still losing very steadily even with the carbs being allowed again.
It's ironic that now we entertain the possibility that we're going to wither away!
Hang in there,
Kathy
