Hi all - This week I've taken some risks re: physical activity - I joined a Dodgeball league and an Indoor Soccer league. I survived the first Dodgeball game this past Wednesday, but the Indoor Soccer game is tonight, and I'm much more nervous than I was about Dodgeball. I think its that I know that there will be a lot more running/activity in indoor soccer, and I fear that I may not be able to keep up, or that I'm not in good enough shape to do it. I think its also due to self-consciousness about being in public running around. Not so long ago, I would never have joined these teams because, well one, I wouldn't have been physcially able to play, and two, I would have been embarrassed to be seen running around wtih my body jiggling everywhere. Anyway, I guess I just wanted to share my anxiety about it. I'll post later on how it went. I hope you all had good weekends! Heather

Good for you! Go out there and kick butt. You'll be fine. I live in a very rural area. I would love to be involved with something like that (esp softball).

Heather, that is so exciting yet nervewracking at the same time! You will be so proud of yourself when you play soccer tonight! It gives you a sense of power to conquer those fears. You can do it!!! Deanna

Hi all - Thanks for your support about the soccer game. I survived the game, but I am definitely not in enough shape to really play. I think I'm going to try to be a substitute player or limit my play time in some way. I'm totally paying for it today. I did have fun though. I had a WOW moment at the game. It turned out that my team was supposed to wear white t-shirts, and I was wearing a dark blue t-shirt. Another woman (very fit) offerred me her white t-shirt, and I was seriously afraid that there was no way I would fit into it, but I was able to! I played the game in it! I'm totally stunned.... Thanks again for your support! Heather
