re: nervous
Hi all -
This week I've taken some risks re: physical activity - I joined a Dodgeball league and an Indoor Soccer league.
I survived the first Dodgeball game this past Wednesday, but the Indoor Soccer game is tonight, and I'm much more nervous than I was about Dodgeball. I think its that I know that there will be a lot more running/activity in indoor soccer, and I fear that I may not be able to keep up, or that I'm not in good enough shape to do it.
I think its also due to self-consciousness about being in public running around. Not so long ago, I would never have joined these teams because, well one, I wouldn't have been physcially able to play, and two, I would have been embarrassed to be seen running around wtih my body jiggling everywhere.
Anyway, I guess I just wanted to share my anxiety about it. I'll post later on how it went.

Thanks for your support about the soccer game. I survived the game, but I am definitely not in enough shape to really play. I think I'm going to try to be a substitute player or limit my play time in some way. I'm totally paying for it today. I did have fun though.
I had a WOW moment at the game. It turned out that my team was supposed to wear white t-shirts, and I was wearing a dark blue t-shirt. Another woman (very fit) offerred me her white t-shirt, and I was seriously afraid that there was no way I would fit into it, but I was able to! I played the game in it! I'm totally stunned....
