Muscles v fat debate continued

I've posted this just to annoy Kat - hee hee, no only kidding!! I do have a question about fat v muscle though. Does anyone know what volume 1lb of fat is and what volume 1lb of muscle is? I'd be interested to know. I was thinking about it after reading about muscle being compared to a small piece of gold and fat like feathers on one of Megans posts Ruth

Geez, will this never end...LOL Don't know the volume of 1 lb of fat, but if you want the volume of 1 lb of muscle, just get a steak that weighs 1 lb. Same density, same cell type, etc. For me, I really dont ever want to see 1 lb of MY FAT Even tho I'm an old crusty nurse, some things are just too nasty. I could, however, look at YOUR 1 lb of fat. hmmm that would be a good experiment huh? I just had a cup of yankee stew today, it was about 60% fat and 40% stew, I should have saved all that fluffy fat and weighted it, measured it, and figured out the final answer.
