2 events are just girls 2 events are guys and girls some just adults, some with kids, but ultimately, when someone put together an event, they feel compelled to meet at a resturant, or to serve food.

Hmmm...lots of ideas... 1. The leaves are changing & it is really beautiful outside here right now. There is a place called Circle S Farms close by that has a corn maze, a huge barn with slides from the loft that throw you out into hay piles, hay rides out to the fields to "pick your own pumkin," then you can have your own campfire & roast marshmallows & make smores...umm...or fat free weinies. We love going there with friends. 2. We have progressive Euchre (card) parties. Everyone brings a dish to share (ok, it's not centered around the food). We setup tables (one time we had 5 tables, 20 adults & 20 kids running around uptairs) You go around the table of 4 once with each person dealing once. Then you swap partners. (we use bridge cards to find out who your partner is next.) At the end, we give away gift certificates to the person with the highest & lowest scores. 3. My husband and I love to laugh. We often take a group of friends to the local Funny Bone Comedy Club. Then we go out to a bar or restaurant afterward just to try to remember all the funny parts & laugh again. It's a hoot! 4. Ice skating. My husband is a hockey player. We do this a lot with friends. Although we're getting a little too old to "crack the whip." Someone might break some bones. 5. We're planning a multiple couple cruise for the spring (probably 10-12 of us). I can't wait. We are thinking Grand Caymen & Ocho Rios???? Darlene

a local wls support group gets together here in houston, dinner is always on the agenda. I ask myself WHY when there is so much living to do, would WLS always add a food activity to a meeting? why not a trip to the park?
