What am I doing wrong?
I am still not loosing. I've put back on the 1lb I lost last week. I thought maybe I was eating too much so have cut out snacks and cut down on portion sizes. I thought I wasn't doing enough exercise so have been doing more - cardio and muscle building. But nothing has changed. I've increased my protein and water too. I don't know what else to do other than go back on a liquid diet or try to starve myself.
I'm stuck and don't know what to do to get moving again. Even my inches have stopped too.
How long can a stall last? Am I sabotaging (SP) this in some way and not realise it?

Ruth by the way your pictures look your doing great. Keep exercising just cut back on the weighs for a while. And snacks, drink more zero calorie stuff instead of snacking.
Did you keep a Food Journal, if not start one now, Then you can look back to when you are losing and revert back to eatting as when you were losing.
Here is a Plateau Breaker:
#1 - Do this for 10 days to break a plateau
#2 - Drink 2 quarts of water a day
#3 - You must have 45 grams of protein supplement and all your vitamins/minerals supplements each day (some suggest at least 60 and up to 80 gr)
#4 - You may consume up to 3 oz of the following high protein foods, 5x a day
beef
pork
chicken
turkey
lamb
fish
eggs
low fat cheese
cottage cheese
plain yogurt or artificially sweetened (?)
peanut butter
beans/legumes
You may also have:
sugar free popsicles
tea or coffee
sugar free jello
broths/bullion (sp?)
crystal light drinks
#5 - If it's not on the list, you can't have it for 10 days!!!!
#6 - Keep a food diary and try to get up to 30 mins of exercise daily

definately cut out snacks.
exersize is for people that do not have enough sex. one or the other, not both.
if you are increasing your protien, you are probably increasing your calories,
the more calories you consume the more sex you have to have to burn them. QUIT THAT.
starvation is what we did before we had RNY and we do not do that anymore.

here is an easy easy easy thing that even a pretty girl married to a texan can do.
3 meals a day.
have sex
no snacks.
drink your water
have sex
lean meats and leafy green vegetables, if it is not one or the other, it doesnt go in your mouth
drink your water
take your vitamins
have sex.
ha ha ha ha
I love this reply - I'm definitely going to show DH!!! Do you think he'll get the hint. I'm all for more of that kind of exercise. Much better than the rowing machine (or can you combine the two???)
As for snacking - I've cut everything out already - nothing between meals passes my lips ('cept when I'm doing the extra exercise )
Yes you're right - the scales should go. When I was first out, I wasn't bothered by weighing and now it is ruling my emotions - what's up with that. Thank you. I've had the kick where I needed it. No more scales until......

Hi there! don't forget, muscle weighs more then fat, so if you're exercising, you're probably losing fat and gaining muscle,which is good! Don't worry about the scale, just pay attention to how you're clothes fit. Of course, I say that, but I'm on the scale almost everyday! Good luck, you'll break the platuea soon!
