Muscle DOES weigh more than fat!!!
according to His Royal Highness, yes, muscle weights more than fat.
however, 5 lbs of one and 5 lbs of the ohter is still 5 pounds.
he is the guru of muscle, has a personal trainer, pedals 100+ miles a day on a bike (a real bike) and consumes 2500-3500 calories and looses weight (he is evil) and HE SAYS
muscle weights more than fat
what he also said was that 'we' those of us that are not 'lifting' are not 'exactly' creating more muscle, and yet, as we burn the fat, it is 'eventually' being replaced with muscle.
over time, not over a workout. so while we work out for 1/2 hour to 1 hour, 2 - 3 times a week, we are increasing our metabolism, that then burns the fat, and the repetitive movement builds the muscle, to 'feed' the muscle, we need to consume protein drinks.
and that is where he sees an increase in wieght, the muscles do not pull 'crap out of thin air' or something like that. you have to provide some 'fuel' but when you go pee, 98% goes right back out. it takes a long time for that 2% to acually make an impact on the scales.
ULTIMATELY he said,
"Kat, quite freaking worrying about what you weigh, what your muscles weight, get off the computer and burn some calories."
so I am assuming that sitting here typing all day doesnt do that effectively. ;)
