What have you eaten today? 10/2
Hey Deanna...isn't this a bummer??!! I love meat and I have been especially craving it since WLS. I have a freezer full of heart healthy steak filets, stuffed chicken breasts, lobster tails and crab cakes that I would just love to be able to eat. My hair dresser (she's 2 yrs. post-op) told me that it was at least 6 months before she could eat any meat or salad. So I'm counting off the days!!! My surgeon told me that my stoma probably just healed up smaller than normal and as long as I could easily drink fluids (and I can) I did not have a stricture...although I'm beginning to wonder. I'm giving it until 6 months and then I may give my surgeon a call!!
B: Pure Protein bar
S: about 8 almonds
L: peanut butter on whole wheat toast (didn't fini****), I small slice of apple
S: 1/2 cup low-fat granola with some skim milk
D: I have a new chicken recipe cooking in the crockpot ... but chicken usually isn't my "friend" so we'll see if it actually stays down or not!
