Hi everybody, just wanted to update you all on my newest decision. Since having my surgery I now have decide that I am going to have Lasik Eye surgery and get rid of these darned ole' glasses that I have had to wear for 40+ years. I went today for my consultation and they said I was a good candidate so here we go, on Oct.13th I should no longer be wearing glasses!!!! Call me :crazy but I feel like I am doing the extreme makeover and boy does it feel good. So i will have to get some pics posted before hand and then afterwards. I am also scared ( ) to death. I think it is a fear of the unknown. Everyone says it is painless so we will see.Just wish me luck..

Hi Dawn Good for you. I did it the other way around, hee hee. I had lasik and that then gave me the confidence to have WLS. I'm sure you'll be fine, and you'll be amazed afterwards. I had it done a couple of years ago and I'm still getting over not having to use glasses or contacts. I know it's corny, but it really does feel like a miracle Look forward to seeing the before & after pics Ruth

Dawn, Congratulations on your upcoming lasik surgery. Every one of my friends who has had it done say it's wonderful and you see almost immediately!! I would like to have that and I think they now have a surgery that corrects the "your arm isn't long enough" when trying to read the fine print you're getting old malady!! My customers really tease me (most are alot younger than me!!) when they ask me to go over a package insert with them and I either hold it way out there OR WORSE get my granny half glasses out!! I'll know you'll come through with flying colors and you're right...think about the new wonderful you!! Gail

Thanks everybody for your support.. Deanna I am getting one eye done for 1759.20 and that is for the lifetime Acuity Plan. I am having the CustomVue with Wavescan or Zypotix with Zywave laser treatment. 1 year of unlimited post op exams and FREE enhancements for LIFE. Depending on what you need done it will cost you 799.00-2199. This is actually through my insurance and I am getting a 500.00 discount. This is also per eye!!! They also have financing available which is not bad at all..Good luck and try to get it done.. I never thought I would get the opportunity to do something like this but I am doing everything I possibly can now. I never thought of the teeth whitening but that just might have to be next on my plan.. Thanks for the idea. I just feel so good about myself now that I have lost the weight and I really am doing a complete tranformation. Next will be a massage!!! 225/156 Dawn
