Weighed in today...
I was 4 months post-op last week. I weighed in today at 362.4. I am down 92 lbs. since surgery. I was really hoping to have lost 100... Oh, well, this is good too... I am just a little disappointed. Last time I was down 19.5 lbs in 4 weeks, this time I am down 19.6 in 7 weeks... I was averaging over 4 lbs. a week, this is less than 3 lbs. a week... I really am happy... just not AS happy as I had hoped to be...
Hi There
Don't be down on yourself. You have done SOOOOOOOO well. You'll be in the century club before you know it. You loss is bound to slow down the more you loose. You are probably still loosing the same % of fat per month if you work it out. Just think how you'll feel when you do get there...

my doctor told me at my 3 month visit that I would change from 4 lbs a week to 2.5 lbs a week due to a combination of two things.
one, overall weight to lose, as your amount decreases, your change decreases, it is all in ratio to each other
two, body healing time, now that your body is used to the surgery, it will survive off of less and store more of what it is getting, he said that is the 'end of the honeymoon' and now the last 10-20% is the old fashion way, eat less and excersize more.
Kay, I can understand your frustrations. It's hard to see a decline in weightloss each month! And I know it's hard to look at the overall picture but 92 pounds is AWESOME!!!! Go into a grocery store and try to pick up 9 bags of potatoes! You would be amazed!!! You really and truly have done a great job!!!

92 pounds lost in 4 months is AMAZING Way to go!! I also heard the closer we get to goal, and the more pounds we lose overall, the less pounds per week we lose - but the important this is we WILL keep losing, maybe slowly, but steadily over time until we reach goal. You seem like you're well on your way! -Alisa
