Century Mark
I made it. 102 pounds since surgery 5/24/06. I am not doing good at going to the gym though. I need motivation. Working- I am a teacher- just exhausts me. Then the thought of going to the gym- eeek! I have got to do it though. ANy ideas at motivation? I wake in the morning ready to go. I get in the car afterschool and come home and relax. I should go there but do not. Food is not my friend. I struggle with so many things. Some days things work- others they do not. My hair is falling out a bit. Not in clumps but strand by strand when I wa**** I will be glad when this time passes. I cannot figure it out. I was in Lake Tahoe this weekend. I walked into a store in the Heavenly Village and bought a fleece jacket by Columbia in a size 2X. I used to squeeze into a 4X. That felt good. I had to buy a jacket- I was freezing there and did not have one. I am feeling better most days. I still get so tired though. How about you guys? I need food inspiration. I too am bored with food. WHo has the exceiting recipies for us?

Great news about buying a size 2x...bet that felt good too. I know what you mean about being bored with food - there was a post the other day about it. I think alot of us are going through it.
I'm finding I'm getting tired again, when I went through a phase of having too much energy if that's possible. So today I've upped my protein thinking maybe that's why I'm tired. Back to protein basics class 101 for me
Re the recipes, Darlene posted last week some great recipes with others posting some too - have a look back for some ideas.
You'll feel better soon - before I had WLS somebody posted me this and it has helped all the way through...'this too shall pass'. Your body has been through a lot in a short time - you'll get back on top before you know it

WOW! Take a bow - you have done a GREAT job!! 102 lbs!! Keep it up!! What are you eating now? And what do you like to eat? Then maybe, we can come up with some new recipes!
I did try a Cookies'n Cream Smoothie the other day. It was 8 ox of skim milk, 1 pkg of 100 cal oreo, 1 cup of ice, 1 T of fat free cool whip. Blend this all together and WOW! What a treat!!
I know the excitement of "new Sizes" But - I think maybe you should have not wasted your money on a Columbia - because this 2X is also going to be too big before long!!!!!!

I teach too. I have darling 3rd graders. Great some days but always!!!! tiring. I joined a local gym and my motivation is the $60 a month I'm paying. BUT I do admit that I have come home because I was just so dang tired after a day at school. I currently can't go until I get approval from the surgeon *****moved my gallbladder.
I know what you mean about recipes too. The recipe board has some good ideas and also looking on our "what did you eat today?" posts.
Congrats on the 102 pounds! Thats awesome.
