Starting Over? Good for Weightloss??

You all know I had gallbladder surgery Sat. I was on clear liquids Friday (after 3pm) and all day Sat. I was put back on full diet Sunday BUT had no appetite. Since then I've been forcing myself to eat jello and popsicles. Sound familiar??? I feel like I'm back to my 1st week post op. I did manage 3 small boiled oysters last night and I've had 2 oz of cheese today and a ChickenFry. I was soooo worried that this inability to eat anything substantial would hinder my weightloss. But each time I step on the scales since coming home Sunday, I 've lost weight. Again this reminds me of that first week post op. I weighed 257.5 Friday morning. Today I weighed 252. That's 5 1/2 pounds since Friday. I've been lucky to lose 2 - 2 1/2 pounds a week the past month. While I'm thrilled with the weigh-in this morning ( I hit 80 pounds gone!!!!!!!!!!!), I'm now worried that once I do start to eat again, I'm gonna gain some weight back. What are your thoughts??? Mandy 332/252/150?

I think it will be impossible to eat enough calories in a day to gain weight. Your body burns between 2500-4000 calories a day depending on acitivity level. You'll never be able to eat more then that right now. I thnk you're fine. GREAT job on the weight loss. Now I want surgery!! hahaha

Thanks Megan. I guess my mind is still in that mindset of pre WLS when I could lose weight but it ALWAYS came back. Its hard to believe that I have a TOOL that will aid in that never happening again.

Mandy you've inspired me, I think I'm going to go back a few steps as I'm not loosing as much as I'd like. I don't think I should go back right to popsicles and fluid only, but definitely try taking at least one step back. Even though Ron says I don't eat enough to feed a gnat I know I make poor choices sometimes and maybe this will help me get back into line a bit. Thanks Ruth
