Hello fellow losers!!! I've just had my first date in over 20 years (geez, am I that old??? ) Anyway, a friend MADE me sign up on match.com. I met a man who lives here and we've been talking for a couple of weeks. Saturday eve we met at a Mexican restaurant. Talk about nervous. He wasn't really ugly, but I couldn't get over his nose!!! It was normal size with a HUGE bulbous tip. , yep, looked just like that!! I'm sure I just stared at it all throughout dinner. So, here's the real reason for the post, I want to hear from everyone who is starting to date now, how do you handle eating/food/WLS, etc? LOL Cindy

I've been asked out a few times recently... does that count? LOL I haven't yet taken the step to leave my husband but... well... we're leading different lives. ;) Sorry to hear that Mr. Nose wasn't a match made in heaven. Gotta love the internet. There are a million more out there!

I also started dating off of a dating site. I just went ahead and let everyone know I had the surgery right there on my profile. Gets it out of the way, and makes for an interesting conversation for your date.

I went through THIS in 1996 and you couldnt pay me enough to do it again. I met someone on line as well, and thankfully he is 'fairly normal' hehehe we agreed that we both had 'advantages', he is economically desirable, and I am 'naturalizationally desirable. hehehehehe I spend his money, and he got a greencard, how sexy is that? giggle giggle now understand that we do 'love' each other. so much so that when it came time to get my surgery, he said, it is a win/win situation. if I die during or postop he has a 1/2 million dollar policy, and he is rich and wins. if I survive, he gets a skinny wife, and he wins. ain't love grand? giggle giggle fortunately, we both have a very dry sense of humor so it works for us. giggle giggle got my 'biach' shirt on (Harley Davidson "STURGIS" tank top) I am the BIACH!

heehee his brother is a butt sniffer. we do not talk, since we are not very civilized to each other, I think that he is a bore and I do not mean 'boring'. the brother lives in germany, how prentious is that? but I will tell you that if you can get a european model, get one, they are to die for! this one works all day, washes the laundry, hauls the trash, does the dishes, cooks dinner, is out shopping for groceries right now, and he vacuums the house. he will not make a bed or wash the mirror in the bathroom, and he hates the mop the floor, so he is not PERFECT, but he does hang the wet towel up. so I count my blessings! heehee

aren't I though? heehee seriously, I am surprized that you went in for the american model, and texan to boot. depending on the 'urban' model or the rural model, it is a real crap shoot if they are worth it.. I find that most american models are as useful as tits on a boar hog.

Hi there Cindy - Thanks for your post. I've done some online dating in the past, but not in the past 2 years. I joined eHarmony about a month ago. So far nothing has progressed to the point of a date. I may try Match.com. I feel like I want to be at goal weight for a while before I start dating again, so that I've had time to adapt to all the changes in my life. But that could also be an excuse, since I'm chronically afraid of being rejected (usually because of my weight), so I avoid seeking out dates. When am I ever really going to feel comfortable?? Never. I have noticed some more attention from men, some of whom I'm attracted to. I think that wearing clothes that actually get attention (like, non-black!) rather than trying to hide myself helps. I just need to get up the nerve to talk to them! Take care, Heather

Here try this dating site, I've met a few but nothing to say this is the one yet. But a few are still friends too. And it's totally FREE. Sending & receiving. They even have "Meet & Greets" which other members set up, all free. And forums. www.plentyoffish.com
