waiting for new clothes
I have been slowly adding new stuff into my closet, I know that it is useless to get too much since I change sizes every month.
today I finally said HEY time to measure for the big investment. the bra. (sorry guys) GOODNESS GRACIOUS.
and HOLY COW
and did I mention GOODNESS gracious?
I went from a 42 down to a 35 band size... from a DDD down to a C.
I was only going to get two new ones for now. but I am just flabbergasted.
this is on top of the panties going from a size 8 to a size 5. it is wow moments that is for sure, and my family are now going, are you done yet? isnt a 5 tiny enough? do you really need to go down anymore?
I can not help it, my body is doing what it is doing. so what if I go down to a 32C and a size 4? it is not like it is a bad thing, they really were so used to a fluffy 'MOM' they just can not envision a skinny minnie. I know they 'support' me, want the best for me. but I can see that the closer I get to my mom and grandma's size, the less my fluffy (185 lb and 199 lb) girls are comfortable with my body changing. I think that they look at it as , well, now there is no one that they can 'identify' with as a biological excuse for being fluffy.
so my wow moments are recieving mixed reviews. all my 'friends' are just estatic at my progress. but then most of them are reed thin. ;)

Kat,
What a great WOW moment this was for you today!!!! Congratulations. No matter what anyone (friends or family) says, there's no better feeling for us than seeing our clothes and underwear (sorry guys) getting smaller and smaller.
I've been having some "Wow" moments myself. I, too, had not been shopping for underwear and clothes, since I know I'm losing and they would just not fit anymore after about a month. But since I'm getting married next month, I broke down last week and went shopping (in store and online) for some sexy lingerie and some pants for the honeymoon. Wow, just saying I went shopping for sexy lingerie is something I haven't done in I don't know how long. Well, I found out too that I've shrunk from a 42DD to a 36C!!! I stood in the mirror at Macy's for the longest in disbelief. I had gone in for a couple pair of bras and panties, ended up getting 2 sets at Macy's, and then shopping online at Victoria's Secret and buying 3 more sets!!! Then I went upstairs at Macy's and tried on pants for the first time in a couple months, and found out I can get in 12 petites! Of course I bought two pair (a pair of jeans and a pair of pants) when I had just said I was getting one.
I think we should all celebrate our new selves, and don't let anyone tell us otherwise - if they do, ignore them!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
That's funny you mention the rings, lol. I was just in a "ring" dilemna last week. Lisa had originally gotten my wedding ring in a size 7, since they didn't have my size available. Pre-op my ring finger was a 7 3/4. This is the size she got my engagement ring. So just when she was taking my wedding ring to be sized, it dawned on me that my finger had gotten smaller. She had me try it on, and the 7 fits fine - no sizing needed. My engagement ring, however, is now too big. It's not falling off yet, but coming close. I think I'm going to take my engagement ring this week and get it sized down to 7. Isn't it AWESOME the things we're having to deal with when it comes to our weight loss. We definitely can't complain.
The ONLY thing I can complain about is my still not getting to onderland. I don't know - I may have made it, but I promised myself not to step on the scales until Tuesday. Haven't been on them since Friday's weigh-in. I guess I'm still losing inches, though, since i see my clothes getting bigger and bigger. But those pounds just aren't budging, darn it!!!
oh rings... dont get me started. the last couple of years, I gave up on rings, put them all away.
now those do not fit
the old ones that were from a very long time ago, they almost fit
I am in never never land with rings.
just like underwear and everything else, I am impatiently waiting until December when I can just empty my husbands bank account. ;)
That's wonderful! I went to a teenie bopper store, just for giggles, to look for a dress for the wedding on Saturday. Well, I found a dress that I liked, but they only had it in an XL and a M. I grabbed the XL & tried it on. The salesgirl (very sweet) said, "Honey you are swimming in that dress, let me get you a smaller size." I said, "You only have it in a Medium." She brought it to me & believe it or not, it looked fabulous! My husband loooooved it! I thought there was no way I could fit my boobs into a medium dress, especially from a juniors store. I just can't wrap my mind around this!
Congrats!
