Weekend Plans?!

What are your weekend plans? Anything fun? Relaxing? I took today off so I'm going to take my son to the park and hit up Walmart/Target for some cheap clothes as I'm really limited. Tonight my husbands family (ugh!) is taking me out for my bday dinner. TOmorrow night I'm hitting downtown with girlfriends to club hop for my bday. Fun fun fun. I think Sunday Danielle (from our board!!) and I are getting together. What are you doin?

Work, work and more work, this is my scheduled weekend to work soooooooo I already know I will be mandated for 16 hours both days, hence which is why I called in today and gave myself the day off!!!! To everyone else, have a FANTABULOUS weekend!!. Simone

Simone, you and I need to join an workers anonymous group...is there such a thing?? My husband is always complaining that I work all the time and never give myself a break. Unfortunately, it sounds like you HAVE to do it!! Didn't you say you're an RN?? Are they that short-staffed?? That just doesn't seem right, it's unhealthy for you.

Yes I'm a RN and yes they are horribly short staffed and their right to mandate us is a part of OUR union contract. My husband tried to get me to call in tomorrow, but I think Imma call in Sunday because its his day off too. I dont even care if they write me up or fire me for calling in anymore you have to take a break. They can even walk uo to you on for example ~I was off thursday, per contract my boss tried to mandate me(on Wednesday before I left) to give up my day off thursday and come into work and I HAD to use my refusal.......we get one refusal every 3months............this is the WORST staffing has ever been and everyone is transferring out, I cant yet I'll have a year in November but the time I took off for surgery holds me 2 months longer...............oh yeah theres also the sign on bonus in which I promised to stay a year. I'm through whining now, thats one long sentence.

My nephew is playing highschool football at my alma mater so I'll be going to the football game tonight (I love it!). A "candle party" tomorrow. Church on Sunday with dinner with the family afterwards :D Happy Weekend everyone! Mandy

Well, since I've entered the stage of motherhood where I am head "chauffer", Saturday Derek has a footbal game, Brendan has a baseball game, & then the OSU Buckeyes kickoff @ 3:30, then we're going to my cousin's wedding. Then Sunday we have: church, Derek has travel baseball- which my husband coaches, Brendan has practice for the Golf team...oh & tonight my husband is scheduled for a double-header softball game (but it's starting to rain). What plans do I have for me??? Yeah right! I'm a sports widow. Make the best of tonight. Free food, right? Enjoy your night out with the girls. Sounds like fun. Dar

Well tonight Millie has a friend here for a sleep over - 2 six year olds. We've already had world war 3 up in her room and the next second they are best of friends again. Isn't it a shame that all world problems can't be resolved that quickly If I survive the night tomorrow Millie and I are off to see my Dad, sister and neice for the day. Then church Sunday morning. Hopefully though it will all be relaxed and fun

I got so upset over Simone's work weekend, I forgot to include my weekend plans!! We're going to a 70's Disco thing at our club on the lake. We live on a very fun social lake and know most of the people and I'm sure all the usual suspects will be there tonite. We'll all have way too much fun and I'll probably feel like crap tomorrow. My motto, make it worth it tonite!!!

S O C C E R !! Tomorrow morning 4 of my grandkids have soccer games. I take turns and make it to 2 each Saturday. Then I have to work at 2. Then Sunday I am going to watch my oldest grand daughter's soccer game. She plays on a college team. So that takes up this week-end. My husband will be hunting with our 16 year old grandson. Michigan has a week-end for young deer hunters so they will be busy doing that. Busy week-end. I will not even be able to make it to church! And this is not good in my book!! Have fun everyone and eat right! and drink your water!! No GRAZING!!

I am going shopping with my mother on Saturday and Sunday me and you (Megan) are getting together I hope! I can't wait!!
