Hope you don't mind me posting this. If you don't pray then just ignore. requested Anyway, if you do pray and believe in the power of prayer, please pray for my Dad. He has got bowel cancer and starts chemo and radiation treatment in a week or so. Thanks Ruth

Yes, Maam! My pastor's theme for our church is "pray continuously." I pray driving down the road, in the bathroom at work,...I told you I'm a dork. I don't care. If God brings someone to my mind, I might as well pray for them. I am so sorry about your father. I will certainly add him and your family to my prayer list. Please keep us posted. Love & prayers, Darlene

As a good Anglican, I probably pray more than I go to church Seriously though, I pray all the time and our seminary community prays together. I will mention him in our intercessories Rachael

Thanks everyone My eldest sister and her 17 year old daughter live with my Dad and they live about 1 1/2 hours drive away so not too far. I am going with my daughter Millie to visit on Saturday. Kathryn (my sister) says Dad is grouchy and tired - no change there then, ha ha. Thanks again. One of my prayers is that this will bring him closer to God.

Ruth, my thoughts and prayers are with your Dad. I hope his chemo and radiation are successful towards brining him into remission, and that the treatments will not make him feel too bad during the actual treatments. I have had friends, family and co-workers who have been diagnosed and had to go through surgery, chemo and radiation, so I know it can be along and painful process. But we will pray that it's not long, and that it will be successful, and that your Dad will be feeling well soon.
