I heard somewhere that stress can cause you to gain weight or stall if you are loosing. Apparently this is because when we are stressed we release the chemical cortisol (I think it is) and this somehow affects the body. Does anyone have more info on this?

I'd be VERY interested to learn more about this. I've heard similar things in the past. I'm under so much stress right now that I'd LOVE to be able to blame the weigh stahl something!!!

I've also heard about the cortisol. I think we've all seen those commercials that shows the "layer of fat added around our middles". I even bought some of that stuff at the drug store (before WLS), thinking THAT must be my problem!! Didn't work, by the way.

I would love to hear more about this as well, since I am definitely stressed between the wedding in 3 weeks now and the fact that I'm still at a stall!!!! Yesterday I weighed and I was still at 203 - I cannot for the LIFE of me get below 200. This is ridiculous and I've been so crazy busy if not for the wedding preparations I'd probably be in a deep depression or funk over this monumental plateau (it's not just a stall anymore, &^#@%&!!).....
