Stinky Belly button

it started about two weeks ago, but has gotten much worse since I started wearing proper jeans (tight on the belly). I checked the inside of my belly button and it is red, inflamed, and a little 'bulging' but pretty stinky. I am letting it air out tonight and I do have a dr appointment in the morning, I am sure more for 'documentation' rather than cure. smells like a yeast infection. gross.

Yuk!!! Hope you get it sorted by your doc. Def sounds like it is infected or something. The down side to being able to wear tihgter clothing I suppose - a small price to pay huh.

well, he said triple antibiotic ointment. three weeks should do the job. bblllaahhh

I bet it is a yeast infection. But that is a good thing to document with your doctor if you ever want to have plastic surgery! I got a nasty skin yeast infection under my tummy roll and I was hestitant to go to my doctor. But he documented it really well and said to come back in at the slightest reoccurance. That way we have more ammunition when it's plastic surgery time! Let us know what you find out! Deanna

Take a picture of it - preferably something with a date stamp. Keep a list of the medications used as well (I'd probably keep receipts as well). I hope your belly button feels better soon. Phenom
