Most of us are 4 months out - or close to it now. Now that you've had 4 months to lose weight, deal with the "new lifestyle" and experience most of the ups/downs of WLS. Do you have any regrets? If so, what are they? The ONLY regret that I have is not doing this sooner in life.

Meagn, Even though I feel like I'm losing slow, I would do it again 10 times if I had to. I would have never loss 70+lbs on my own. Tierra

if you would have asked that question 2 months ago I would have had to be honest and say yeah!! I was so sick for so long and I am just now starting to feel better. Been in 4 times to get my opening stretched do to a stricture and I am feeling like it needs done again. UGH!!!! But now I would say it has all been well worth it and I only wished I had done it sooner as well..

NO REGRETS AT ALL!!!! I do wish the weight came off faster but I know that is not realistic!!! So I will keep moving downward lb by lb!!!! We'll ALL make it!!!

Same here Megan...My only regret is not doing it sooner. I'm happier than I've been in a long time. I really don't miss FOOD, I miss the "act" of eating with a group...but I'm finding my own way to be "normal". I love what this surgery has done for me and I can't wait to answer this question again in a year. Can you imagine where we will all be then?????? Mandy 332/260/150?

9/11 I had an inscisional hernia repaired, the tear was the size of a piece of bread. Even though that surgery was like a trip to HELL, I would still do it over again. I am also a very slow loser I was 222 the day of surgery and am now 179, so that is 43 pounds in 4 months and I lost 22 pounds pre-op. Wow total of 65 pounds. I must say I think I am the slowest loser in all of OH, but you know what I would NEVER EVER been able to do it without this tool. Some days I am just so happy and beaming feeling good about my decision, but still alittle afraid of what might come. Like will I lose to much, LOL probably not but I still worry. Will I beable to keep it off for life? I hope so , I had no chance of even getting it off before this surgery. By the way you are all doing great, I'm not online much so I don't get to post much.

Hi Megan! I am 4 1/2 mths out from lap ryn & 4 mths out from open small bowel obstruction repair. If you had asked me this question 2 mths ago I would have told you I had total buyers remorse. But 2 wks ago when I went to my support group meeting they asked this question & I suprised myself by saying "no regrets here". I would never advise anyone to have wls-but would strictly give just the facts & advise them to do their research. I feel it is a very personal decision that must not be made lightly. By the way since I have recovered from the open surgery-I can eat any meats(I feel so fortunate)Steak, chicken, eggs, milk no problems with anything so far. Have not tried any sweets-But did try thin crust pizza & had no problems(wished I had of cause now I know my pouch likes pizza lol.) Also I am thoroughly enjoying the weight loss-even though somedays it feels slow!!I have to tell myself slow is better for the skin.I have also enjoyed pulling old clothes out of the closet & trying them on!!I have some 3 mth pics on my profile. Will add 6 mth pics 2 mths from now.I really need to slow down & update my profile as I know other peoples profiles were a great source of research for me. So, No regrets here! ~Missy~
