Has anyone been taking their body measurements? I haven't but am beginning to wish I had. I bought a pair of pants on vacation that were too tight, and put them on yesterday and they are already slightly too big. Now during that time I have 'only' lost 1lb but have definitely lost far more inches. This has convinced me that when we are in a stall we are loosing inches, even when we are not loosing lbs. Our bodies really are catching up with our weight loss. I know I've gone down clothes sizes, but I wish I'd got the inches records to prove it to myself so that I can see some numbers going down even if they are not on the scale

Yes, I do. I measured the night before surgery and I measure every 11th of the month. To date I've lost 54inches. I'm so thankful that I've kept up with this. It's been an amazing tool in measuring success. i also take front/back/left/right/close-up pics in a black sports bra and black panties every month. Obviously it's not the same clothes because they'd fall off me if it were the originals.

Hi Ruth, I wish I had measured at the beginning (preop), but for some reason it never occurred to me! So now of course, I just wonder and have to use my clothes as my gauge.

I got lazy by the time my surgery came up - less than a week after the last day of my spring semester - so I never did it. But . . . . I am down to a 22/24 dress size from 30/32 pre-op, size 22 non-stretch jeans from a 26/28, 22/24 shirts (which are beginning to be loose) from a 28 (which were getting to be tight in the arms). Oh and a size 24 suit size (they tend to run small depending on the style) from a size 32. So I am loosing I just stay way from the scale cause we just don't see eye to eye!!! Oh my rings have moved up at least 2 fingers (1 I have to have re-sized) and I am able to wear 1 ring that I haven't been able to wear since I was 19years old WOW! Phenom

My husband and I have been planning on getting new wedding rings for a while now, but then decided to wait until I've lost weight otherwise I'd have to have it re-sized. My current wedding ring was getting to the point of being too small, but now it's really loose. Great feeling to know even our fingers are getting smaller isn't it. And exciting to go clothes shopping now - I used to hate it.

No and I wish I had of from the brginning! I guess I was just too lazy! But WOW! I can sure tell in my clothes! Even my shoes!! I was wearing a tight 22/24 and now am a good size 18 and they do not have to be elastic waist either! I do have a problem though as my middle is bigger than my butt and legs so pants that fit my waist bag every place else!! Any suggestions??

I didn't before surgery and I really wish I had! I've been measuring since July at Curves and It's really great. I have a weigh/measure day tomorrow so then I'll know how many inches...I'm excited!!! My hubby and I are planning on getting me a new ring after I get to goal too. I got a band instead of a bridal set to begin with and now I'm looking forward to getting a diamond! I was going to get my band resized about a month ago because it's 2 1/2 sizes too big now but they said it was $26 for the first size down and $18 every extra size, so instead of having to do it more than once and have to pay the $26 each time I decided to wait and they put a sizer in it for me. Which is a wonderful thing because I was so afraid of losing it!!!
