I would agree with everything that everyone says including you. you are obsessing. you are goal driven. you need a hug. I totally support going reduced carbs. and I can see that it may or may not pay off, depending on if your body is in a 'normal' stall that it normally needs or if you are carbing up. I do not think that it will hurt you to try this, I do totally agree with hiding the scales. ;) but mostly, just give your self a stress free break. relax and enjoy life. Lean meats and leafy green vegetables work for me. but no two people are the same. Kat

Hey Megan - Hang in there. I've been at a plataeu for weeks and just broke it a couple of days ago. It will happen. You are doing great! I think your fluctuation is probably water weight because of the great exercise you are doing. Maybe you should test yourself for % body fat vs. muscle? Take care, Heather

OK Megan - We ALL know we do need some carbs! How many? I do not know but I have to agree with everyone. YOU ARE DOING GREAT! And as much as you exercise, you do need carbs!!! JUST RELAX and it will keep coming off. As I recall, you are in what size?? like a 12 or 14? I could be so lucky!!! Love, Hugs and Prayers, Darlene

Megan, you have to be careful when taking carbs out of your diet because that is the greater source of your energy. That is your fuel. Take carbs out to the extent that you are talking about WILL cause damage to your body. All you are doing is starving your body of its essential fuel! Now I know on the Black American Board they do what they call a protein train but it ONLY for a week. Basically it is the plateau diet done with several other members. But it is not something that you do for such a long time. You are doing so great please don't sabatoge your progress or endanger your health just to have satisfying numbers. Now, In the pass your intervened on my behalf - I didn't want to accept it at first but I thought about it later and I made some changes in my diet. Don't go back to unhealthy diets and jepordize your wonderful progress. I didn't see results so I tried different things and I finally got some advise that stuck with me. I am not like everyone else . . . As long as there are changes in my body (ie clothes sizes etc) I am fine. The last time I weighed (last month) I had only lost 47lbs since May. But I today I am wearing a size 18/20 sweater and a size 22 non-stretch jeans. I am happy with my progress cause I know I work out 3x a week, I know I am eating better and taking the time to make healthier choices. I know that no matter what a scale says I am loosing. Please don't revert back to old habits. Our eating habits are not the only thing that had to change for us to lose weight - we have to change our way of thinking too. Focus on what you have lost not what you haven't lost. Phenom
