I have been griping and commiserating with quite a few of you girls about our stalls or plateau's the last couple of weeks. As I mentioned on one of my other response posts, I have been gaining and losing the same 2 lbs. since 8/27 and I was really getting frustrated. Well, first bit of good news... I THINK I've broken the stall, I had lost 3 lbs. this a.m. BUT the brightest most encouraging moment came when I went in for my 4 month checkup this a.m. The nurse checked and rechecked my starting weight and said "my gosh, girl, do you realize you have lost 92 lbs. in 4 months!" She went on to say you're 50 years old (actually I am 52, but I saw no need to correct her), and you're losing weight like a 25 year old. I told her I thought I was behind schedule and told her I was really worried, because I would like to lose at least another 100 lbs. The nurse told me to relax that I still had plenty of time to get off all the weight I wanted. So I now feel much better about my progress so far, but I've still got a looonng way to go!!

Thanks Megan...we can always depend on you for an encouraging positive message!!! I really appreciate it. I have been so worried that I wasn't going to lose anymore and that I was going to be stuck at this weight. I'm hoping the scales will start a downward trend for awhile. It is so reassuring having all of you for support. I get such inspiration from this message board.

Honey Bunny... I'd be on cloud 100,000 right now if I could brag about losing 92lbs. I think we're all in that 3.5-4mo rut that the scales have stopped. It seems like every other post on here lately has been someone saying how frustrated they are. As much as I hate to hear it - it's also reassuring that we're not alone in our "slow stalls". Anyway, brag away babe. You MORE then deserve every right to it!

WOW! great job!!!! JUST KEEP DOING WHAT YOU HAVE BEEN DOING AND BY THIS TIME NEXT YEAR - YOU WILL PROBABLY BE CLOSE TO HAVING THE REST OFF!! hOW MANY SIZES HAVE YOU WENT DOWN? I HAVE LOST 64 LBS AND ONLY WENT DOWN 2 SIZES! THE PITS! BUT THEN I WAS PROBABLY REALLY STRETCHING OUT THE 22/24'S AND NOW THE 18'S FIT FINE! I EVEN GOT A PAIR OF CAPRI'S BUTTONED ON SUNDAY AND LAST WEEK, WHEN I WORE THEM FOR THE FIRST TIME, I HAD TO USE A PONYTAIL ELASTIC BECAUSE I COULD GET THEM BUTTONED!! I ALWAYS HAVE HAD ELASTIC WAIST PANTS SO THIS IS SOMETHING NEW TO ME!! AND TO TOP IT OFF, I CARRY MOST OF MY WEIGHT IN MY MIDDLE!! Isn't it great to know how much we have lost? even tho we still feel fat!! We are both about half way there!! Keep up the good work. Darlene

Thanks Darlene. It's taken this much weight loss before I've really started noticing a difference in my clothes. I'm still wearing alot of the same clothes because I have a whole wardrobe of this stretchy slinky spandex stuff that you can mix and match (all mostly black, of course). Fortunately, it's just been shrinking with me, BUT I've had to take alot of items in to be hemmed. I'm 5'7" and usually have to have very little hemming done, so I guess my BIG butt was taking up alot of the fabric and once it shrunk a little, the material just draped on down. I few things I was wearing last winter, when I tried them on the hem hit the floor!! I couldn't believe it!! I have noticed that a few pair of capri pants now just sit on my hips and gap open. I was wearing a 24/26 usually a 3X, but sometimes a 4X if it was a top that I wanted to go smoothly over my butt. I don't have any idea what size I'm wearing now.
