OT: Back to school
Did anyone else have a child go back to school today? My daughter, Carly, started Kindergarten today. Huge milestone in our house. She woke me up at 4am this morning "Mommy, is it time for me to go to school?". "No Carly, go back to bed". WheN I went in to wake her at 6:30am she was awake, god knows if she went back to sleep. She looked so cute today. I'll have to post pics. I cried all the way to school this morning. It's so sad that she's old enough to be in SCHOOL! Kindergarten here is M-F full-day.
My daughter Millie went back to school today - into Prep 2 (not sure what grade she'd be in over there - she turned 6 in June). Also, Deanna posted that her daughter Abby started today too - her first time doing full days.
They seem to grow up so fast dont they. Tt's lovely to still be able to have a cuddle with them. As I posted to Deanna, just wait til they are 13 - oh boy......
How old is Carly?
Prep 2 sounds like 2nd grade here. Or possibly 1st depending on her birthdate. That's so exciting!! Did Millie have a cute new outfit for her first day? Have you heard how it went yet?
Carly is 5. I also have a 3 year old boy, Steven Jr. that was SUPPOSED to start Catholic school (pre-school) today but because he's not potty trained we lost a 1500 deposit. SICK! Damn kid. LOL
Oh no! That's too bad about losing your deposit! I have a 2 1/2 year old boy, Matthew, who is not potty trained yet either. I don't even know where to begin potty training a BOY! Ugh! Any advice???
I also have a 6 year old daughter, Abby, who started 1st grade today. I have been in TEARS all day! I think this was way harder on me than it was on her. Kindergarten last year was only half days. So full days this year is a big change to me. It's going to be a rough first week on me! Ha, ha!

That's kinda cool that we have kids - same sex - close to the same age. I completely understand how you've been feeling today. Carly is only in K but it's full day. 7:20am-2:20pm. I've been at work all day or else I'd be in tears every other minute myself. In re: to advice on potty training... honey - if I knew how to do it my son would be there!! LOL My daughter was long potty-trained by this age.
