Do you have days that you can't stop eating?

I have had a day where I haven't been able to STOP eating. I've been "grazing" all day. This is one of the biggest "NO NO's" on my surgeon's list. I feel so helpless sometimes. I'm not even hungry but food just screams my name. What is wrong with me? UGH!

I have days when I seem to eat too much at a sitting. I am worried my pouch has stretched. I seem to feel hunger more often and it takes more to feel full.... that is probably my problem - waiting for full instead of satisfied. Hand in there!

I'm noticing that it's taking a LOT more to "fill me" then it used to. I was able to eat a cup of miso soup and five sushi pieces for lunch today!

I honestly, am exactly the opposite, my dr admonished me to eat three times a day, I still have not gotten in that third meal today and it is 10 pm. I stay so freaking busy all day long that I really do not have time to scratch my butt or wind my watch. this is how I got this way in the first place, not the over eating, but under eating, constantly psyching my body into shutting down the metabolism. today i have had 1 oz of sirloin, 1 oz of chicken, and 10 oz of isopure. the carb monster usually attacks when you are grazing and you are usually grazing when you are digesting everything too fast (just a theory). kat

Your replies sometimes discourage me, Kat. LOL

I am really sorry. I feel for you, I really do. I really do not have any other answers for you. I am on a -0- carb diet, I carefully measure 1 oz servings, I do not exersize, I eat three times a day, limiting my calories to about 225 calories. I lose and average of 3.8 lbs a week. there are many different ways to get from new york to los angeles. not everyone takes I40 or I70. I know that limiting my carbs is tantamount to torture for 99% of americans but it really shuts down the hungry trigger. I just never get hungry. today: Breakfast; 2 egg whites with sprinkle of shredded cheese snack: 2 tablespoons salmon salad Lunch: I ate a whooping 1/4 cup of wendy's chili, it was really yummy. Dinner:????? it is only 5:14 and my tummy is a little growly, but I think that it is the chili. ;) no carbs no hungries.

Oh yes yes yes.... I hate those days. I also hate that my mind wants to eat when I'm bored, and I find myself doing it subconciously (SP?) looking in the cupboard & fridge for food. I've been trying to have a milky coffee or something like that, that fills my stomach without actually eating, which seems to trick my mind. I think my mind is also so used to eating when actually my body is thirsty. But when I work it out, even when I have grazed all day, my calories are still way below 1000 a day but I would really like to change my habits.

*hugs* Ruth. I'm so glad that I'm not alone. It's so frustrating - and I agree with you - it's totally a mind thing!

CAN I GET AN AMEN SISTER???!!!! I really want to eat carbs and junk food and **** that got me morbidly obese in the first place. I know that after eating carbs i will feel disgusting and I'll need to take a nap. I know that my days of eating like crap are over and yet i miss those days some times (usually when under stress). This really is JUST a tool for us...I have no trouble eating chips and cheese doodles but i don't allow that because that's how i got fat to begin with and I'm not eager to go back. I'm drinking my achieve one and having some beef jerky for snack and I'll plan my meals and do my best! Hugs, ANDI

I'm so with you, Andi. I"m able to eat junk food too - no problem. Biggest regret is learning that I can handle it. Ugh! I'm addicted to the 100 calorie packs which isn't good because there is nothing nutrional in them!
