Megan, how are you doing drinking wine? My wedding is coming up October 14th, and so far I haven't tried any alchohol, but I miss my occassional drink. I was hoping I could either have a little wine for our toast (instead of champagne), or a sugar free version of a lemon drop martini (I have to find a recipe - I'm sure one exists). We're having wine, beer and a martini bar, and I'm hoping I'll be able to drink a little something. But I've been worried how I'll react. How long ago did you start having a little something to drink, and have you tried anything other than wine??
I'm not a good example to follow. I drink at least once a weekend and I have been from 5-6 weeks out from surgery. I'm a red wine drinker however I've had just about everything other then drinks with carbination (beer etc...). I tend to get "tipsey/drunk" quicker however it dosen't last very long. No side effects just less to drink.
Red wine is low in calories and has no carbs, fat etc...
B - 1/4 C of high protein cereal with 2% milk (able to eat only a few bites)
coffee with high protein cappaccino
L - 1/8 C of boiled squash
few bites of a meatball with tomato sauce (the sauce was delicious and went down with no issues)
S - 1/4 protein bar
D - who knows, but I'm starving!!!
The starving feeling is new to me. I've had such a hard time with solid foods that as you can see from above, I still eat very cautiously. Because it is so unpleasant trying to get the solid foods down, I haven't had much of an appetite. I still have the "stuck" feeling a couple of times of week and that always triggers a throwing up session.
