Kel, thank you for the supportive words. I am determined to push past this stall and not let it discourage me. Everyone on the message board has been so great about helping me feel more positive and motivated!

Hi Alisa I'd like to add my bit to what everyone else has already said! Firstly, it's great to have you join us posting on the board - it's always good to have more people's input and share our journey together. Secondly, it sounds like there are several of u****ting this stall - the thread seems to run through all the posts. Let's all be encouraged to stick with it and see this through. We will get more lbs lost and won't be the only person who 'fails' which I know is my fear and I'm sure is others too. I'd also like to add that muscle weighs more that fat so it may be for those of you doing weight training that you may not be loosing lbs but loosing inches because your body is replacing fat cells with muscle. This is a good thing as muscles burn up more calories than other cells...so the lbs will eventually start moving.

Hi Ruth - real quick note on your post. Muscle does NOT weigh more then fat. 1lb of muscle = 1lb of fat. The difference is that muscle takes up less space then fat. ;)

Megan, I didn't know that!!! I have always heard that muscle weighs more than fat, but what you says makes perfect sense. I guess that's why when you're exercising, you may not be losing as many pounds as you are inches. You're gaining muscle as you lose/burn fat, and since muscle takes up less space, you see the loss in inches at a faster rate than you'll see the loss in pounds. That really makes me feel better, since even though I'm not seeing the pounds drop off these past couple of weeks, I can still see how my clothes are continuing to get baggier and baggier

Hi Megan Thanks for the correction That would make more sense. It's obviously one of those mythes that gets passed on. Sorry for the mis-information guys

No need to apologize babe! Trust me - I used to tell everyone the same thing. I once said it in-front of my personal trainer and he corrected me. Since then I've seen the same myth corrected several times on the main message board. It's all a learning curve!!

Well then i apologize profusely for never having told you before that i find you an inspiration. You are doing phenomenal and it's so dang on impressive! I'm down 43 pounds which brings me to 173.6 and i'm fine with that! I have come to the conclusion that i'm not going to be one of those really impressive folks that loses 100 pounds in 3 months as I don't have as much to lose anymore. I have to lose about 60 more pounds to get to goal so if i lose 6 pounds this month i've lost 10% of what i need to lose....i look at the percentages it makes me feel less like i've failed and more like the winner I know I'll be....gosh i hope this makes some sense! Be Well and thank you for everything you've ever done. Hugs, ANDI

Andi, I think that's a great way to look at our weight loss - in term of percentages to goal. It is much more impressive than just counting the pounds. I think I'll start doing that as well! Alisa
