My baby went to Kindergarten today!

I am feeling a little sad & PMSing too & my baby went to kindergarten today (all day- they do a staggered start based on your last name- next week it will be all kids in attendance every other day) I should be at work, but I just feel off emotionally. She is only 4 (her birthday is September 16 & the cut-off date is Sept. 30th). The school said I could send her for 2 years if I choose to at the end of the year. My husband is 6'4" so she is very tall for her age, but she is still my baby. Boo Hoo. Darlene

Oh Darlene I know just what you mean. They are still babies aren't they and in some ways don't seem old enough to be going to KG. I feel like this each year when Millie moves up a grade, although the first time is the hardest. I think moms find it harder than dads for some reason. How did she get on, did she enjoy it? I'm sure she'll settle in quickly and you both will get used to the new schedule. Try not to use food as comfort (that's what I used to do) and find other ways of pampering yourself while you are feeling low. Maybe an at home DIY facial or manicure? *hugs*
