Eating Carbs???? AND protein goals
My doc told me to eat what I want, but try to eat protein first & stay away from deep fried foods & sweets. He said I need variety & I feel satisfied with what I eat. I think it is funny that I crave strawberries & cantaloupe & zuchini & chunky tomato sauce. Before, I used to crave chocolate & deep fried foods & doughnuts.
It is funny how my body tells me what it really needs now...or at least now I am finally listening.

My surgeon and my nutrionalist both agree that carbs are okay to have in my diet. That being said, if I'm going to eat carbs it should be healthy choices such as veggie's/fruit and light wheat breads nad pasta. I haven't tried pasta but the Pepperidge Farms Carb style bread is awesome.
I try to get in 50-80g protien a day. I usually drink 30g of it and the remaining is in food that I eat.
I'm supposed to get >60g protein each day and 64 oz water. Re: carbs, they haven't been banned but I'm supposed to eat protein first, then veggies, then fruit and carbs. I typically eat less than 50g of carbs a day. (though in today's salad I ate a bazillion croutons so I overdid the carbs...they were so good though!).
