Protien reminder

I debated on posting this because I don't want to come across as the "pro". I'm not by any means but I then I thought - well if I didn't know I'd want someone to point it out to me. Our bodies can only absorb max of 30-35g of protien in one setting. Those drinks that are higher in protien or food is a waste of your calories. I'm not sure on the time between settings... I believe its 3-4 hours. I've seen a lot of posts over the past couple of days with protiens in the upper 30-40 and even one was 50. Just becareful. Stepping down from the soap box. Love you all!!

I was aware but like you said some may not be aware and were all learning this "new thing" together.....................so its ok.

Hey Megan, I had no that your body only absorbs that amount of protein at once. I think this is a good post for people who doesn't no. My protein drinks that I am currently drinking are only 18g. Tierra

Hi Megan - Thanks for the post. I had not heard that at all , and I've been doing the unjury shakes with 2 scoops (40g protein) and counting that towards my total! Thanks for informing me. Take care, Heather

Not all of us are on calorie counting diets and are not allowed carbs where calories kick in the most therefore protein is more important according to my nut.
