Hi Everyone. What do you guys think about Curves. I have a membership with Ballys already, I'm just wondering if i should join curves for those days I don't feel like driving a 20min drive(being as though Curves is right up the block) I still can get a workout in. Do you think it's a good workout. Tell me waht you think. Thanks A lot, Tierra

Tierra, I joined curves July 13!!!I absolutely love it. It is MY time. The workout is alot of cardio with strenght training!!When i went for my 3 mth check up my surgeon asked what i was doing for exercise & I said"walking &Curves" he said "Great". If you've never been they will ususally let you go for a free week, it won't hurt to ask!! I even set up for the owner of my curves to come to my Dr's next support group meeting to speak & she is going to give out free 1 wk passes to the ladies. Oh & by the way the same day I had my 3 mth checkup I also had to get weighed & messured at curves(they do this once a month). & I had lost 1 inch everywhere (legs, arms, bust etc.) but in my waist I had lost 3 inches!!!& 5.85 lbs of body fat( IN 1 MONTH). The trainer said that 3 lbs of body fat equals 1 large can of crisco. So i lost almost 2 cans of crisco. Anyways, I think its Great(but to each her own).Give it a try. ~Missy~

Hi Sweetie!! I'm telling you this because I'm going to be honest... and we have the same surgeon. Dr. A found out that I was going to Curves after surgery and told me to stop. It was a waste of time. He even went as far as to write a letter to the center I was going to and ask them to realease me from my contract immediately. He stressed that the most important part of exercise at this point in our journey is cardio and Curves does not focus on that at all. Also, the "circut training" is limited as it's not weighted but resistance and not sets/reps only seconds (30). All of that being said - it's great for those that need to get into a routine of working out. Also, for those that do not do anything - it's something. However you belong to a gym and would be so much better off going there. I hope I didn't offend anyone that does belong to Curves. All surgeons advice is different I'm only going be Tierra's and I's. Love you girl! Meg

I loved Curves pre op. I felt like I needed more of a cardivascular challenge post op. I needed the machines and weights so thats why I left Curves. I know go to FitZone for women,I like it because like Curves its women only.
