Shopping WOW!

Today after work, my sister and mom were telling me that my pants & shirt are way too big for me (they're size 18). I insisted that the pants were getting big in the legs, etc., but that they still fit in the waist. They said, "No way, Jami." I didn't believe them, but later ended up at Kohl's for a different reason and decided to look at some clothes. I found a pair of size 16 denim capris on clearance (60% off!) and decided to try them on, sure they wouldn't fit. I proceeded to put them on and, lo and behold, they cleared my thighs and butt! Then I thought there was no way they would button and zip, but, to my amazement, they did! They're tight, but in about 10 more lbs., they should fit perfectly, if not loosely. So I got them! I'm so excited. This is my first purchase in the "regular" clothing size department in about 10 years! Hooray!!!! I can't wait until they really fit and I can consider myself a veteran of the plus size section!

way to go girl!! I know the feeling as I shopped in the Jr's section for the first time since High School this past weekend. Congrats to you and you're SO almost there!! WOOT WOOT!

Good for you all. I'm far off from those sizes yet, however I have to pat myself on the back. I am down from a 6X to a 2X and nearing a 1X quickly. Every step is a step in the right direction. Debbie

WOWWEEEEE!!!! That must be an awesome feeling! I'm anxiously awaiting the day I can shop in the "normal" section! Let alone to buy pants that button and zip ... right now I'm too chicken to try anything other than elastic! Ha, ha, ha! Awesome job!
