Goodbye Hair!!!!
Dar...congrats on the size 10! That is excellent! As far as the hair I feel your pain. I too have loss. When I get in the shower I DRED washing my hair because I know I will have a RAT NEST of hair in the shower. I can make a wig out of the stuff that falls out. I too have thick long hair so am very fortunate for that.
Size 10...wow! GOOD TIMES!
Hugs!

Darlene, you are my hero! I had my surgery about a month after you (5/31) and I guess I'm about on the same weight loss track you've been on (I hit 50 lbs. on 8/11). I hope I'll be down 60 like you are in another month! (I also want to lose about 100 lbs.) However, I'm still wearing a size 18! They're starting to get loose now, but I can't even imagine a size 10!!!! How exciting! I'm still waiting to get into the "regular" size section of the stores. Anyway, I haven't noticed any real hair loss yet, but my hair is very thick and curly, so I'm wondering what it will look like when I do start losing it. I hope it isn't too bad, because I wear black almost every day! I'm still trying to figure out how to post pics on here. As soon as I do, I'll join all of you in pictureland. I've heard the Biotin can do some good. I think I'm going to start taking it soon--maybe even tomorrow! It's hard to even think about losing my hair, because it's the one thing I've liked about my body for years!!! Sorry for the novel. Keep up the great work!!!

I am having trouble with hair loss too. My hair was thin to start out so I'm nervous about it thinning more. After shampooing I use a wide tooth comb and still have a handful of hair! I heard that hair loss is worst from 3-6 months post op and that it does grow back. I've been taking biotin for about 2 months. I don't know if it is really helping or if my hair loss would be worse without it. I got biotin from the puritan pride vitamin website. I'm told they have good prices.
