Hi everyone Haven't posted for a while as am on holiday in Texas. Going home on Monday, hopefully if the planes are all OK!! Have eaten too much on a couple of occassions while I've been here - just too much wonderful mexican food - so have dumped a few times. Horrible feeling so have learnt my lesson though. Found it easy to avoid the sweet food thank goodness. One look at Turtle cheesecake would have my body thinking about how sick it would make me. Amazing!!!! Anyway, we were going to my neices birthday party tonight so this morning I went out shopping for a pair of jeans to wear as my other ones keep falling down (that's a wow in itself!!! ha ha). I wasn't sure what size I am now as it's the first clothes shopping I've done since WLS. I used to be a size 26/28 so went for the size 24 thinking that would be right. No, they were too big so looked for a size 22. They only had size 20 and no 22's so as I was desperate I went ahead and tried on the 20's really not expecting to get them all the way up let alone fit. But hey, guess what - woohoo - they fit great - not too tight either. I can't remember the last time I got into a size 20. Great feeling. Can't wait till these get too big and keep falling down

Hi Ruth, I've missed you here. I am glad you are having a good time on your "holiday." Have you found a lot of sugar-free "goodies" to take home with you? Be careful not to put htem in your carry-on bags (ha ha). Congratulations on your jeans, that is such great news! Doesn't it amaze you to think about how quickly this has all happened? I am so happy for you sweetie. You are always so encouraging to everyone else! Hugs, Darlene

Hi Darlene It's been so frustrating not getting on-line with my buddies for a while! I've stocked up on Crystal light peach flavour. It goes down so well loaded with ice. I think I'm going to have to get it shipped over by the box load ha ha. It's certainly helped me get in all my fluids which I wasn't before. I've been panicking about the hand luggage for the flight. It's really restricted - only money wallets and prescribed medicines basically. No books or magazines or anything to keep my 6 year old occupied. Thankfully we should sleep for some of the flight. I think I look very different and have lost weight on my face so am looking forward to seeing my friends and see if they see a difference (I hope so). Ruth

I will be praying for you as you fly out Monday. Congrats on your Size 20's. That is just great. I was wearing a 22/24 (and they were tight) but they always have to be elastic waist as my middle is so big. Well, they are getting big and so I have been wearing some 18/20's I have around. But I have not tryed on any clothes in a store. This one Support Group I go to is having a Little Victories Party at a Dress Barn this afternoon. So I am going to go and try on clothes for the first time!!! I have lost 50 lbs and hope I am in to a 18. But I still do no think I can do anything except elastic waist. I also get sick alot. What gives?? No pain, no diahhrea but nasuea and vomitting!! YUK!!! Darlene

Wow Darlene - 50lbs! You've done so well. You'll have a great time trying on new clothes...and don't go for 'comfy fit', try on something close fitting just to see what you can get into. What a great idea going with others in the same position. Have fun and let us know how you get on... Ruth

I am soo there with you! today, I put on a pair of TH jeans, they were 4 inches too small in the waist when I had my first interview with the surgeon (I had a 42" waist) the day of surgery, they were 2 inches to small, I was a 40 inch waist. today I put them on and they were 38" and I buttoned and zipped them up and could wigged out of them and pull them off without unbuttoning them. I did it two more times for each of my family. freaked me out. my husband has a 34" jean, and I am going to assume with the 38's so big, I can squeeze into a 36, about 6 more weeks and I can wear his jeans. THAT rocks!
