What Do I Need To Do?
Phenom,
Hi Im not trying to flame or dissect, just trying to help. TRULY.. If you look at the post of what some of us are eating, it is a little different. Its maybe the way you listed your foods.
I want to suggest you try leaner cuts of meat, maybe shaved deli meat, tuna, and chicken breast also. My concern also (even though the slim jim is occasional) is the sodium intake which makes us hold fluid.
This first 6 months is vital, I mean VITAL to our weight loss and the time we must maximize our loss, so I would avoid the french fries or all potatoes.(for now)

Good Luck and keep up the exercise, and remember most importantly you did NOT do all this to fail and we all lose differently.

personally, and this can go either way, depending on who you talk to. each person is different, each doctor is different and each surgery is different.
what I do is totally different from just about anyone else. so take this with a grain of salt.
I would be skipping the slim jim, that just doesnt even sound lean.
I would not be eating a dble cheeseburger and fries at this juncture. those are items that got me in this mess to begin with. when I order out at McD's, and I just spent 6 weeks in a motel, so I did go frequently, I order a grilled chicken breast and a side salad.
I have bacon, but it is 4 slices, cooked to death, and only once a month.
I do not have any protien drinks, I have not found one yet that is not too freaking sweet with way too much splenda, but my dh assures me if I cut it with Kefir, I can choke one down. normally I use water to mix my drinks, they already have milk like substance in them (whey) so they do not need more milk.
I am getting about 225 calories a day period. and I exersize enough (walking to burn 249 calories a day)
I do not 'over do' on the exersize, I may bicycle 2 - 3 miles a day, or walk 2.5-3 miles a day, but over all, just moving and grooving is all I do.
we all go at our own pace, my dr is going to pitch a fit in 1.5 weeks that I have only lost 3 lbs a week instead of 4 lbs. but he will just have to get over it.
