What are you eating on avg. now?
Curious to know what other May WLSers are eating during the "avg day".
My average day is like this
B ~ Protien Shake
S ~ 100 calorie pack
L ~ 1/2 Light Whole Wheat English Muffin w/ turkey and cheese
S ~ String Cheese
D ~ Protien meat
S ~ 2-3 Peanut butter crackers or Soy Rice Cake
Dosen't this sound like a LOT of food for someone that is only three months out? What are YOU eating?
Hi Megan,
Great Post! I am always wondering the same thing... am I eating too much, not enough, too fast, not chewing enough, not enough proteins... all these things we think of righ?
I don't think your food intake for a day is too much.... I think my sample day sounds like way too much after I read your sample day.
OK so here goes.....
B- 1 cup of coffee w/ protein creamer
or
protein shake
L- small salad w/ chunks of sharp chedder and few pieces of popcorn chicken
or
1/2 Subway wrap
S- protein bar
or
1-2 a week I have 1 mac. nut cookie from Subway as an afternoon snack
D- 1 oz of bbq chicken, small portion of veggies-either corn or green beans, and small portion of a carb- scalloped potatoes or mashed potatoes-- this probably totals 3/4 cup
or
small portion of shrimp, veggies & small portion of a carb
S- Protein Shake
So what do you think...is this too much... maybe I shouldn't be eating all of this...yikes please share your thoughts.
Kristen
Hi kristen ok you asked what we think so here it goes
ok your food choices and portions seem fine but the cookie??? well its kinda soon to give in to this already your at the prime of weight loss, also at 1year and more youll have to rely on behavior modification and thats what we should all be working on at this point please dont take this the wrong way but i just thought id give you feedback!
maybe try fresh fruit insted of the cookie.so you get the sweet but not bad carbs and empty calories!
take care and good luck

At almost 3 months out I still really dont want to eat. A typical day for me would be
B~Protien Shake
S~4 oz. yogurt or string cheese
L~4-6 toasted wheat thin crackers and tuna
D~Protien meat
S~Protien drink
Also just on a side note ..........as of yesterday I am 10 weeks out and down 54lbs. That is 26% of my excess body weight. Yipppeee
Hugs,
Stacy
Hi Megan! It doesn't sound like you're eating too much to me. And I love your whole wheat english muffin lunch idea ... thanks!
Here's what I eat on average:
B--4 whole wheat Ritz crackers with peanut butter and a string cheese
L--1/4 cup of some sort of meat, usually chicken; couple bites of a fruit
S--protein bar (20 gms. protein)
D--1/4 cup of meat, couple bites of vegetables
S--occasionally I'll have a sugar free pudding after going to the gym at night
I've noticed that I'm wanting to eat more often though ... I used to be a big grazer during the day and I'm finding those tendancies are starting to creep back in. That scares me!
