Has anyone had any skin problems yet? I have been really itchy around the fattest pasts of my body. (Upper arms and legs, Boobs and stomach) Is this because it is trying to contract? It is really starting to get loose, and saggy. I am using a lotion for pregnant women that is supposed to help with skin firming and I am starting to lift weights to work on the skin problem. What are you guys doing? Brandy

I'm noticing skin problems already, too. I work out (lift weights) daily (I have a personal trainer). Although it's helping some it's not nearly enough. I'm noticing it in my upper arms and thighs the most. I was hoping that because I was a "light weight" to start I wasn't going to need it but I'm so quickly realizing the reality is I will.

Back in May I read a post from someone talking about wearing Lycra while you sleep to help with skin problems while we lose weight. I found that Target carries clothing made of this. I think I might give that a try. I don't think I'll have any problems except in my mid-section so that's why I think this may help me. Here was the original post - I saved it in case I wanted to look into it later: Lycra for skin tightening Original Post by Jason Terio at 1:45 PM PST on 05/12/2006 Lancaster, NY Hey gang, yesterday i met with my surgeon set a date and chatted awhile. The subject of loose skin came up and although in his opinion it probably wont be an issue with me he went on to tell me he has alot of his patience sleep in lycra shorts shirts or bras(for ladies i hope) lol, and he says it aids in the tightening of the skin and helps keep the shape while your skin constantly regenerates. COOL! i have never heard that here-although i may have missed it, non the less i am gonna get some underarmor compression shirts and shorts!

A few years ago I lost 96 pounds (but gained all but 8 lbs of it back before my WLS). Anyway, at that time I went to the dermatologist about a different issue, but I asked her about what I could do to help my skin to keep from sagging. She told me the best thing to help it was to always wear snug clothing. I know that's hard to do when we are losing weight so quickly, but she said that it holds the skin firm. She said other than that, she didn't know of any creams or such that would help. Don't know if this really works, but she is one of the most well respected dermatologists in town. Candace
