Need food ideas - so bored!
Hi Megan!
I am so glad you posted this question ... can't wait to see all the ideas you get!
Last night for dinner I made the rest of the family spaghetti. So what I did for me was to take equal parts of cottage cheese and ricotta cheese and mix them together. Then I used the ground turkey and sauce from the spaghetti and used that to top off my cheeses. It tasted really good, kind of like lasagna without the noodles!
Other things I'm eating are:
* string cheese and more string cheese
* whole wheat Ritz crackers with peanut butter
* vegetarian refried beans topped with cheese and a couple organic tortilla chips
* chicken thigh from KFC
* turkey breast cutlet wrapped with a strip of bacon and grilled (yum!)
* dannon light-n-fit "carb creations" yogurt with sprinkle of granola
* cottage cheese
Hope that gives you some ideas!

Hey Megan -
Great idea! I still have a protein shake every morning because I can't get all the protein from food yet. I also have:
boca veggie burger with a slice of cheese and ketchup and mustard
the ricotta thing that Deanna suggested
rolled up turkey lunch meat with cheese, mayo, and avocado (after all, I live in CA!)
Atkins advantage bars/breakfast bars
the inside of a fajita with guacamole and sour cream
no sugar added ice cream
cheese sticks
I also sometimes go to Boston Market and get the 1/4 white chicken meal with mashed potatoes, green beans and gravy. I mix the chicken with a little of the potatoes and gravy and its really good (and makes about 3 meals).
Hope this helps!

HI there....the easiest thing for me to eat is shrimp with marinara sauce. It take 5 mins to make at home.
I snack on the 100 calorie packs or the handy snack cheese and crackers.
Also GNC has a protein bar that has 30 grams of protein and 4 grams of sugar. And they taste great. They are the mega whey bars. They come in a few different flavors but my favorite is peanutbutter and carmel.

great question! I eat alot of Wendy's chili (makes 2 meals for a buck!) and I eat a ton of soy nuts....they are a great snack and have a great amount of protein in them for the calories! I like cottage cheese and pineapple, i do the ricotta cheese thing with sauce but sometimes i'll add slice zucchini so there's something to chew in there. I'm just starting to tolerate some chicken so i do bits of that with salsa or some fat free dressing. It's a crap shoot, what stays down today may not stay down tomorrow. Always good to hear/see that everyone is going through the same "stuff" though. Hugs, ANDI

very yummy and quick... 20 seconds an they are ready
I love the South Beach High Protein Cereal Bars. Especially the one with cranberries. I'm also becoming a fan of ordering soups wherever I go. You can find some really good ones if you're daring enough to order new things. At home, I'm really back into crab legs. Just have a steam a few, and I'm good to go.
I've been told that I shouldn't snack, so I do everything not to. I've been doing really well at it too. I just have to remind myself how long it is until the next meal time.
I am beginning to become bored too. The little food that I get, I don't even count in my protein count b/c it is so little . . my protein still comes from my shakes. Blue Bunny has a yogurt and a yogurt smoothie that have 9 and 13 grams of protein the yogurt is cheap but the smoothie is 1.50 per bottle (a little steep for me) but it worked great when I went out of town last weekend . . .I was able to carry them and still get in all of my protein. I am going to try that cheese and sauce idea though. I eat corned beef sometimes . . . I just miss my affair with food. I can't enjoy it like I used too. So I tend to stay away from a lot of solid foods . . . cause if I really lke it, can't enjoy it for long . . I am getting better but I still miss food.
