I'm so tired
I don't know what to do. I am so tired all the time. I can't get over this, no matter how much I sleep. Last week, I ended up in the ER from dehydration and now I can't seem to feel good. I'm 10 weeks out and I've only lost 40 pounds. Is this normal or could the fatigue be because I"m a little depressed. I just hate it, I don't want to do anything! UGGG!!!
honey, 40lbs is great! i think the fatigue could be a lot of things. Are you getting enough water in? If you're depressed, your fatigue could be due to that as well (aka me today!). With myself, sometimes I have to force myself to do things. Yesterday I didn't want to do anything but I went with my DH to the gym and really did feel better afterwards! sore, but good!
My advice is to up the water intake, up your protein and force yourself to do anything, even the laundry, to get up and moving!
Good luck!
Hugs,
Heather
Thanks for replying everyone. I felt a little better as the day went on. I just did my very first B-12 shot so we'll see how that goes. I have not had my iron levels checked, maybe I should ask the doc about it. I've decided I just need to go to bed a little earlier and get my butt moving! I was doing good with the exercise and I need to get back to it
Thanks again!!!
Guess what?! You'll never guess who else feels EXACTLY the same as you?! hahaha imagine that - your twin! I'm tired all of the time tool In fact, I called out the past two days from work because I have NO energy. I'm working out a lot so that is'nt my problem. I think it could be from lack of protien. I'm feeling depressed, too. I used to be anal about cleaning my house and now it takes everything in me to even keep it straight.
Me too......
I am so tired all the time. I have a nap almost every afternoon. The other day I went to lay down for five minutes and woke up 3 hours later. And I still sleep well at night much better than I did before WLS when I would wake up several times a night.
I have put it down to the low amount of calories that I am taking in. That and my body working hard to get it's energy from my fat stores! I'm hoping as I get lighter I will have more energy.
I hope you feel better all round soon
all of the above.
my recommendation is hydrate more, and add some zipfizz (b12) to the diet, and yes, the less than 'expected' weight loss is fatiguing. I just spent 15 hours today in exhausted sleep.
I was dehydrated. (only 20 oz fluids yesterday)
I was depressed (only lost 32 lbs in 8 weeks)
but today, I resolved to eat right, exersize more, drink more, and "forget about it" to get out of my 'slump'
