Really need help!
I am almost 7 weeks out from RNY gastric bypass and still have nausea and get sick after I exercise in the morning. (I'm okay in the evening) Nothing looks good to eat and I havn't really had anything to eat in like 3 days. I don't know what to do. I was put back in the hospital 2 weeks after my surgery for dehydration and am so scared to go to the doctor in fear that he will put me back in the hospital. I feel like I am always in a bad mood and so tired and un-motivated to do anything. I would appreciate any help. I am down 45+ pounds but am not sure all this frustration is worth it.
(((((((((Karlie)))))))))))))))))))) are you drinking enough? You can't get dehydrated again girly girl! Nothing looks great but you have to find something you can tolerate even if it's mass amounts of cheese sticks. You are suffering and you need to find out why, do you take pepcid twice a day or one of those stomach pills? I'm sorry you don't feel well, ANDI
(((Oh Karlie!!!)))
I can really sympathize with you. I've still been nauseaus at times too. And nothing, I mean nothing, sounds good to eat. I would much rather go without eating, and I physically feel better when I don't eat. I have to admit that I've had a lot of string cheese and whole wheat Ritz with peanut butter lately. It's the only thing that tastes halfway decent! I'm just soooooo unmotivated to eat anything!
Have you tried Propel to drink?

Karlie, Has your Dr.prescribed you anything for the nausea???If not call the office & ask for something. My Dr prescribed me a disolvable Zofran.Nausea can be a sign of dehydration so....You really need to try to sip, sip, sip.(I should really take my own advice...LOL).I went to the hospital for dehydration at 7 days out.It was no fun.I hope this helps.Oh yeah-I lived on the sugar free popsicles-popsicle brand at walmart-they have the original cherry, grape, orange & they have some tropical flavors. If you melt the popsicle it is 2 oz. so if you have 5 a day thats 10 more ozs than you would have gotten.Hope this helps. ~Missy~
Hi karlie,
Im a little ahead of you im on the 24th and i drink good, but im like you im not motivated i get dizzy an feel tired alot, but you must remeber you did this for health so going 3 days without eating is not going to help you if anything youll slow your weight loss to a stop so then youll be unhealthy and sick.i dont think you want that
you gotta just try food, have you tried salad, fruit, steamed veggies, refreid beans, soups?ect you just gotta eat there is no way around it this is why your felling like this mine was i wasnt tolerating protein shakes, but i am now and felling a little better except still dizzy.but our body is still adjusting.you say you are ok after excersising at nite well then at nite you should.
are you doing protein shakes?
please feel free to email me if you wanna talk more.

I have had success in getting my water in by eating crushed ice. It just goes down much easier than drinking water - much less likely to make my tummy hurt. Check on Profect too. You can order the 4 pack of samples and try the different flavors. It is 25 g. of protein in just 2.9 oz of liquid. It really helps me. I am doing a lot of string cheese, it seems to work well. And Gerber's Meatsticks - yes, Gerber's, they are really good and easy to eat. Mashed potatoes are easy on my tummy, you can hide protein powder or powdered milk in them too.
Hi sweetie!! I was in the hospital last week too for dehydration. One of the nurses actually had RNY about a year ago with the same doc I used and she said this is common. I would say something to your doctor though. Don't be scared. It's better to take care of it now then to have worse problems later.
But you've lost 45 pounds and that is so great. I've lost 40 and I had surgery a week before you. That's so wonderful. Keep up the good work.
Oh, and I too can go a couple days without eating anything, but it's so not good!
