Strange new problems eating?

Anyone else having new troubles eating things? Just the last 3 days or so, everything I try to eat makes me sick to my stomach. Things that used to be fine. Protein drinks are fine, but solids are driving me crazy. I am PMSing, maybe it is hormonal because the 2 days before this all started, I was able to eat waaay too much. (seems to be my pattern for right before I start) Darlene

Hi Darlene! I'm so glad you posted this! Yes, I've been feeling this way lately too. Last night I ate some chicken and it went down okay but just thinking about chicken made my stomach churn and made me sick to my stomach. Now the last thing I want to eat is chicken! This has been happening to me quite a bit lately. Ugh! Deanna

Totally strange, I just bought some Wendy's chili (it's 3:00 & all I've had today is a protein shake) I took 2 btes & felt sick & stopped. I did not throw up, but just queazy. Weird because I have been doing great on eating whatever sounds good- as long as there's no sugar in it. Dar

WOW!!! You mean I am not alone???? I have experienced this ever since I could have pureed foods. Keep us informed on what you find out. Chicken use to be my favorite food, now I can't stand it!! Hope everything else is going well. Good luck. Sara.

Oh thank goodness! I just don't want ANYTHING bu****er and protein shakes. No eggs or chicken, even cheese makes me feel queasy! Any ideas? Kathy

What about cantaloupe or peanut butter on crackers. When nothing sounds good, but I know I need to eat, I buy those Lance prepackaged cracker snacks "cheese on wheat". 50 cents & they usually last 3 meals or 3 snacks. Darlene

Yes! This is happening to me, too. It's really frustrating. All of a sudden, I'm not able to tolerate things that were going down fine before. Also, I'm at a point now where many times I'll take a couple of bites of something and will have to stop because I already feel overly full! Weird stuff with these new little pouchies, huh? Good luck! JAMI

At least we are not going through this alone. I am so glad to have friends that are going through the same feelings & changes as I am. Good luck to you too. Darlene

I have had similar problems as everyone else who has posted. Food and water, just the mere thought of them makes me nauseous. But if it is a case of feeling to full after aeating just one or two bites, you may have a stricture. I had one two weeks ago and had it dilated. But my appetite is still only about a 2 on a scale of 1 to 10. I am hoping this will get better soon, the nurse coordinator says this is a common side effect of the surgery, but it eventually passes.
